This giant freshwater stingray was 14 feet long / 4.27 m 8 feet wide he estimates it’s between 600- 800 pounds. They couldn’t take the chance to weigh the enormous stingray, as she is pregnant and it’s way to risky to weigh her. According to Bangkok Ink tattoo studio, the stingray is a gentle fish, he also says that with the 15″  barbarous stinger full of venom,  you certainly don’t want to get nailed by it, for it is potentially lethal. He emphasizes that the Stingrays only use their stingers for offense, never for defense .They believe they have located the Nursery.The stingrays are among some of the oldest fish on the planet. 

The Washington Post is reporting:The catch took about five hours, and the fishermen had to rotate in shifts to give respites from the back-breaking work. Using a classic rod-and-reel set-up and aboard a simple, long boat, the scientists and fishermen managed to capture the giant freshwater stingray in Thailand’s Mae Klong River last week.
