When Deanna and I are not busy paranormal investigating, we are busy interviewing entertainers, entrepreneurs and people with adventurous lives! Tonight we are interviewing the Thunder From Down Under and Masterpiece! Let it roll!

THUNDER FROM DOWN UNDER
May 28 – 29, 2014 – Saturday & Sunday: Deanna Jaxine Stinson and I headed for Cache Creek Casino to interview the Thunder from Down Under – an all male dancing revue and the fantastic bay area band called Masterpiece. I had the pleasure of talking with the Production Manager Pat Chambers. He tells me how Billy Cross put this group together and that they have been around for 20 years. There first debut was back in 1991 and ever since then, nearly 7 million people have watched them perform. A lot of these male dancers found their way into this dance group by word of mouth. Some are from Australia, some are from New Zealand. Pat Chambers tells me that his job is to take care of the video, lights and music. They have toured places like Windsor – Ontario, Canada and even Roswell, New Mexico. Pat has been a drummer for 30 + years and even has his own band in Australia.

While I interviewed Pat, Deanna found some new friends, they were Tiffany Farantino and Marissa Encinas. The 3 girls tore up the dance floor while I was feverishly working hard interviewing Pat. Deanna must be having a good time, she ordered a shot of XO Hennessy that was just a mere $22.00 a shot, when I saw that on my tab, it made me sweat. Deanna went easy on me for the rest of the night, thank goodness. Okay, back to Pat…Pat tells me that this dancing group will be in Santa Maria, Ventura, Simi Valley and Murrieta. They have been approached several times about doing a reality show, so you may soon see them on TV with a regular TV series. Now how many women out there wouldn’t turn off the Housewives of Atlanta to watch something more provocative, more entertaining, like these gents from Australia and New Zealand? So when the time comes, give your support to the boys from the Thunder From Down Under and tell those TV stations you want to see a TV reality show with these guys, I never seen so many women salivating on one dance floor!

Talking about TV shows, the Thunder From Down Under has also been featured on several television shows, including NBC’s Today, The Tyra Banks Show, E!’s Top 12 Sexiest Vegas Shows, ABC Daytime The View, TLC’s Gene Simmons Family Jewels, Drop Dead Diva and Lifetime’s Project Runway (season 11).

AOL’s City Guide named them as “Best Adult Attraction of 2006 and 2007.” The Las Vegas Review-Journal named them “Best Male Revue in 2006 and 2007.”

In 2001, the show officially moved into the Excalibur Hotel and Casino. In 2006, the showroom was officially renamed the Thunder from Down Under Showroom in their honor.

The shows producers are Adam Steck and Billy Cross.

Interviewing this highly charged, adrenalin rushed group, you need a lot of coffee and thank goodness Shasta Gemmill, the Casino waitress kept me supplied with hot java. What a nice waitress she was!

Deanna & Harold Day of Masterpiece

Some of you are wondering…”Paul, while you were busy interviewing everyone, what was Deanna doing?” Well, she was busy dancing with the boys from the Thunder From Down Under – while Masterpiece was blasting out the tunes! Deanna knows how to have fun!

MASTERPIECE:
Masterpiece is a band that originates from the bay area. Through the music circuit, the band members came together and formed Masterpiece. They are friends with the likes of the Thunder From Down Under, Earth, Wind & Fire and Tower of Power and many other musical groups. They have up to 3 lead singers, one of those lead singers is Jessica ‘Jolia’ Teddington, other members are: Robert Bancoe – keyboardist/musical director; Carrie Streeter – keyboardist; Andre’ ‘Dr. Frankenstein’ Preston – drums/vocals; David ‘Doc’ Robinson; David McAllister aka Kidd Funk; Mikelle Morgan – vocalist.

Some of the great songs that this band played were: Move like Jagger – Maroon 5, Get Lucky – Daft Punk, some Michael Jackson songs, lots of good Funk, Kool and the Gang, Prince, Flashlight by Parliament and there last song they kicked it with Funky White Boy by the Wild Cherry.

You know when a band is good is when the whole audience is up on the dance floor dancing to the vibrating music! The Thunder From Down Under were on the dance floor constantly! May 31, 2014 Saturday: Deanna Jaxine Stinson and I – had the pleasure of going to Kimberly Vital’s home and look at her lovely original paintings. Kimberly gave us two original paintings – ASK – the Moon Goddess and The Gnome Fairy Protector. They are now hanging in our bedroom. It was a magical day, because before Kimberly gave us the paintings, a lady bug landed on Deanna and then flew off.
