Real Invisible Woman Makes "Appearance" in New York. Pretty Cool

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Body-Painter, Trina Merry, has a unique gift.  She paints models that blend into the scenery so that they appear almost invisible.  Check out her talent as she showcases her recent excursion to New York City.

In this photo, a model is standing in front of Manhattan

While on location, Merry encounters difficulties with local police who don’t quite understand, at first, what’s going on.

The process of doing this work is not simple, the color samples blended on site can take hours to apply.  In, the meantime, the day moves on and lighting, and therefore, background colors change. The time can also be lengthened as the process attracts passersby wondering what’s going on.

the ultimate camo will be electronic clothing that can change into any picture or pattern or just consume the surroundings as they appear.

Makes me think of that Japanese invisibility cloak they showed years ago.

In Maoism, it is said that, when someone is of an incorrect, political disposition, it’s as though they have no soul.

But, whimsical art can be innocent, guileless, and without personal agenda.

      For instance:
Mike Teavee: Why is everything here completely pointless?
Charlie Bucket: Candy doesn’t have to have a point. That’s why it’s candy.
(Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, 2005)

Now, Trina Merry’s presentations aren’t forceful, explicit, in-your-face agitprop, per se.

 But, at the heart of it, are there any undertones.

She’s telling you that (presumably-patriarchal, authoritarian) police are out-of-order:
“Merry encounters difficulties with local police who don’t quite understand…”

But, her choice of models is supposed to blend-in to the cityscape (literally):
      – conspicuously-gay, white men
      – marginally-fit, middle-aged women, of different races, topless and in undergarments.
