In Support of Big Green Bookshop

Almost all of my adult life I have known that the Earth is in a crisis situation brought about by the acts of man. I’ve seen areas of the Amazon destroyed to feed the greed of the western world, indigenous people murdered to clear land for oil, for farming. I’ve seen Greenpeace branded as eco-terrorists, and I’ve watched scientists struggle to be heard.

I will be 58 on Sunday 8th September. That’s a long time of listening as The Great Barrier reef dies, seas are polluted, forests burned, soils poisoned.

Then along comes a girl who somehow manages to make herself heard.

While I was at The Albert Hall we had two days of rehearsals. During this time I doodled. I’m offering these doodles now for sale in support of The Big Green Bookshop’s crowdfunding initiative to place Greta Thunberg’s book in schools in the UK. It’s a small book, and a small voice that speaks loud.

There are those who say we should not listen to children. That their voices are not those that we should follow. But I say, look for truth where you find it. And look at the place adults have led us to.

The large tags are minimum donation of £65 each ( left to right 1-3, then 4 and 5 in middle) bottom 3 £45 each. Email me to secure before donating. All of these were painted on Saturday, in The Albert Hall, listening to the amazing orchestra, choir, soloist, poet, beatboxer.

I will try to keep up with what sells. As of this posting the bottom, middle otter has sold.
