'Paper Shooters:' Assault Rifle Prototype Made Out of Cardboard
Paper Shooters is a set of guns made out of cardboard and plastic. The founders have launched a campaign to raise money on Indiegogo.
“Once you’ve made your gun, it really will work,” says one of the guys behind the design, Jason.
“You fire paper pellets, which you can make yourself. You soak them in water, you take a shell casing, place your paper pellet in here, and just like with a real assault rifle, you take a gun magazine, you take your shells inside the magazine, and again, just like an assault rifle, you take your shell, in the magazines, and you’re locked and loaded and ready to fire. This will shoot 75 feet.”
Kit Includes:
- Plastic shape (skeleton) and all internal mechanics
- Layer one Camo Skin (with rivets/ screws to attach to plastic)
- Layer two Camo Skin (glues onto layer one to add significant detail)
- 8 Gold Shells with 50 pcs of pre made ‘soft splat’ paper ammo
- Mould to make ‘soft splat’ ammo from ordinary paper (never need run out of pellets)
- Zombie head target
On the negative side, the company is sourcing production from China, which is riddled with human rights abuses.
$65 gets you guns and the rest of the kit, while $185 gets you all three guns. And if you happen to want to spend $15,000, you can get 450 kits.
