Satire: Does Genesis teaches us to glorify liars and hate truth tellers.

How has this affected us and the world?

As a life time student of the Bible I can’t believe I missed this point. And how has it affected us emotional and spiritually? This is not a subliminal message. It is blatant, in your face, word for word truth straight from the KJV.  I have never seen this analogy before and I consider it entertainment only of satirical critical thinking. First, most people miss that there were two trees.

Genesis 2: 9 In the middle of the garden were the tree of life AND the tree of the knowledge of good and evil [wisdom and insight].

Genesis 2:16 the “Lord” God [chief god of the Elohim] commanded the man; “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

The first thing Lord God did was lie to deceive Adam when he said the tree of knowledge would kill him (obviously because he did not die), when in fact; it was knowledge AND wisdom God did not want Adam to have calling it evil. So the very first thing Lord God teaches his new creation is a lesson on how to lie and deceive.

Strangely the part about the learning of good is never brought up or studied. All we ever get in Bible study is the evil part; this creating the original sin doctrine. Why would Lord God want to keep us naked and the wisdom of good from us? Or was it simply incites and wisdom Lord God wanted to keep from us?

No Eternal life for man.

The second point is that Lord God did not want man to have eternal life like the God(s) [Elohim] had. (Note: Strangely Lord God did not warn Adam about eating from the tree of life but said Adam COULD EAT of every other tree but the tree of knowledge.) So the Gods could have given us eternal life but did not. In fact (biblically) the “Lord” God (head god of the Elohim) kicked Adam and Eve out of the garden because he was afraid they would also eat of the tree of eternal life. As it reads; Adam was not kicked out for eating from the tree of knowledge. It was Gods fear that Adam would ALSO eat from the tree of life. Adam was punished for what he MIGHT DO…not for what he did:

Genesis 3:22-23

Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of “Us” [Elohim], knowing good and evil; and now, he “might” stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever “– 23therefore the LORD God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken.…

The Lord God of the Elohim did not want man to live forever like him and the other gods of earth, the Elohim. This made Lord God so afraid that he removed/banished man from the Garden to protect the secrets of knowledge, wisdom and eternal life. God was so afraid that man would live forever, he placed protection at the tree, to prevent man from sneaking back in and eating of the tree of eternal life so that he would also live forever:

Genesis 24: After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

So what is our lesson in all this? 1. We have been taught to lie and deceive. 2. Our Father did not want his new child to be like him. He did not want him to have knowledge or wisdom or eternal life. 3. I’m attempting to be kind here…but it also tells us that Lord God is a liar and a deceiver; this the lesson to Adam.

The Bible teaches us that the Truth Teller is Evil?

The story goes on: The serpent told the truth to Eve; that Lord God lied to her and was keeping knowledge, wisdom and eternal life to himself and the Elohim. So today we believe that lying and deceit is good and telling the truth is evil. Plus we don’t have eternal life because Lord God did not want us to have it, banishing man from it and even placing guards to protect man from it. This does not seem very Fatherly to me?

Genesis 3:  Now the serpent was more crafty [intelligent enlightened] than any of the wild animal; He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

² The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, ³ but God did say [lied], ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

⁴ “You will not certainly die,[truth]” the serpent said to the woman.

⁵ “For ‘God knows’ that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil [wisdom and knowledge].”

⁶ When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it.

So, we learn that telling the truth is considered deceiving: in the eyes of Lord God. I find this utterly amazing!

The story goes on to tell how Lord God severely punished the serpent for telling Eve the Truth along with the banishment man suffered then and forever, to this very day. Not a very happy ending for Adam Eve or mankind in my way of thinking.

But the truly sad thing in all this is, that people have been glorifying Lord God as such a good Father figure when in fact he lied and deceived us all and prevented us from eternal life and if he had had his way…we would have no knowledge or wisdom either. I figure we truly owe Eve and the serpent a debt of gratitude not condemnation! And I think Adam was an asshat for rat’n out Eve! But then this is what God was teaching him…now to pass the buck, lie and deceive. It’s too bad she didn’t run over and grab stuff off the eternity tree!!!

Is Truth Knowledge and Wisdom truly evil?

But the worst part of it is that the story teaches us that telling the truth is EVIL in the eyes of Lord God. I can’t help but wonder what the other gods…the Elohim thought about it?

As I look at the calamity we call the CIVILISED WORLD and how whistle blowers; that are only telling the truth are being demonized by government and media even being arrested and jailed…is it any wonder where this line of thinking came from?

For 5000 years this is what we have been taught to think and believe in. How did we miss this for so long? How much longer will we continue to deceive ourselves into staying willfully ignorant of the Truth? Or is this truly Gods plan at work and Truth Tellers are evil?

Some will say that I am a bad evil man for bringing this truth to light and that I should burn in hell for all eternity. And in fact; this is true in the eyes of God and therefor will also be truth in the eyes of the millions of true believers because; this is what Lord God commanded. But truthfully…does this seem right or Holy to you? 

So I question…was Lord God or the serpent the true deceiver?
