The Banksters Just Pulled A Stunt That Should Shock You To The Core

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Zero Hedge tells of something hideous that just took place, and it all snuck by unnoticed. What they just did should really make us think about how they can quite possibly rob some banks accounts, and or at the very least withhold on giving you your entitled money. If the amount you’re asking is not of their likings,or for whatever their reasons. If they think there is suspicious activity going on or if it seems like a withdrawal amount is just a tad to high, then you could be sitting in the hot seat getting broiled. With it being reported that banks in conjunction with law enforcement, the bankers will be wanting to do some sniffing around, with some help from the police. With the banks controlling everything and everybody, this is not a good thing at all, it leaves them way to much wiggle room. On those days that honest hard working American need to take out some big bucks for whatever totally legitimate reasons, that’s when the sniffing into everything about you could begin. The scenaros that could happen to people going to collect THEIR money from the banks describes something real and very scary, as you will read below.

Zero Hedge wasn’t to happy about it either.

Something stunning took place earlier this week, and it quietly snuck by, unnoticed by anyone as the “all important” FOMC meeting was looming. That something could have been taken straight out of the playbook of either Cyprus, or Greece, or the USSR “evil empire”, or all three.

This is how the WSJ explained it:

The U.S. Justice Department’s criminal head said banks may need to go beyond filing suspicious activity reports when they encounter a risky customer.

“The vast majority of financial institutions file suspicious activity reports when they suspect that an account is connected to nefarious activity,” said assistant attorney general Leslie Caldwell in a Monday speech, according to prepared remarks. “But, in appropriate cases, we encourage those institutions to consider whether to take more action: specifically, to alert law enforcement authorities about the problem.”

The remarks indicate that banks may be expected to do more than just file SARs, a responsibility that itself can be expensive and time-consuming.

Some banks already have close relationships with law enforcement, said Kevin Rosenberg, chair of Goldberg Lowenstein & Weatherwax LLP’s government investigation and white collar litigation group. Ms. Caldwell’s remarks “speak to moving forward in a more collaborative way,” said Mr. Rosenberg.

A tip-off from a bank about a suspicious customer could lead law enforcement to seize funds or start an investigation, Ms. Caldwell said.

What does this mean, and why is it so critical? Simon Black of International Man explains:

Imagine going to the bank to withdraw some cash.

Having some cash on hand is always a prudent strategy, and especially today when more and more bank deposits are creeping into negative territory, meaning that you have to pay the banks for the privilege that they gamble with your money.

You tell the teller that you’d like to withdraw $5,000 from your account. She hesitates nervously and wants to know why.

Make a routine habit (weekly) of doing your budget, offsetting your bill funds, and withdrawing at LEAST 50-percent of the balance, then storing it in a safe place OUT OF THE BANK.

For years, I purchased silver ingots from my local coin dealer. While the price was relatively stable between $5 and $8 per troy ounce, it was a comfortable ‘exchange’ that would never generally lose value. Each week, he’d set aside silver for me, and I would pick it up, taking it home and putting it into the safe in the wall in my ratty garage (I put an old paint cabinet on hinges that could be swung out and hide an in-wall gun-fire safe I put behind it – no one would DREAM of looking there for a safe, let alone one that large!). When I hit about 33,000 ounces, I converted a lot of it to gold ingots (right before the 2011 run-up in price), just to keep the fire safe manageable.

The lesson? For many years now, my bank has a solid ‘record’ of me pulling cash ROUTINELY, and has no ‘nerves’ about me doing it. As a result, I have a VERY comfortable mix of cash, silver and gold (as well as stamps) put back. Regardless of what happens, I have it covered. I try not to have more than 3-months of cash on hand at any time, due to a potential ‘currency change’ that would require me to ‘come out’ with the cash for conversion. If I pull out $7k and want it converted, doubt many would ask why. If I pulled out $900k, then that would most-likely cause me a MASSIVE loss, one way or another.

At my age, and comfort zone (with most everything paid for), my ‘provisions’ will easily last me the rest of my life, and that’s not counting on another person or fund to help me. In reality, ‘Social Security’ was always what I was told, when I was a kid – which was for ME to provide for MY security, while working in society.

Sadly, not enough learned this lesson, or took short-cuts for ‘pleasure and recreation’ time when they were young (while I worked 12 hour days and went to night school). My investment paid off grand. I often wonder, did theirs?
