Clear UFO Daylight Sighting Over Seattle, Amazing!
Mufon Report: On Dec. 30 2012 I was downtown killing time before meeting friends for a weekend of bringing in the new year, so I decided to take some photos of buildings and places around downtown Seattle which I found to be interesting.

It was an uneventful morning and I got several great photos of the area. Several days later I was reviewing my photos when I noticed this object apparently hovering above a building in one of them. I zoomed in on it and quickly realized the object does not look like an airplane or a helicopter.

It vaguely resembles a blimp, yet it had unusual characteristics. There appears to be no windows, some blueish and reddish coloration, definitely metallic looking surface. There also appears to be an appendage sticking out the top near the middle and also seems as if it may have a boomerang shape as well.
When I originally took the photograph I saw nothing hovering there and heard nothing unusual, just typical sounds of city traffic and such. It was only after I had reviewed the photo nearly a week later that I realized it was there.

It was not visible to the naked eye or in my viewfinder on my phones camera when I took the photo. I feel like it could be something remarkable or perhaps not. I do not have any means of enhancing the photo with my phone, so I cant really get a more clear look at the object other than the zoom I do have.
This thing doesnt look like any known aircraft I have ever seen and all who I have showed the photo to agree that I may very well have a legitimate UFO sighting over downtown Seattle. I would like to have this picture examined by an expert to determine what it is just as much as I want to know what it is not.

C’mon man… It’s 2013 (2012 whe this photo was taken) , my point is, nowadays nearly all phones have video capability, why not take video of this instead of a fairly vague photo? It is difficult to make out what this is, like many UFO photos.

The street light is close to the camera and the building is far away. Have you never noticed that objects close to you look bigger and further away they look smaller?
What I want to know is why the picture was squashed vertically. If you look at pictures of the Dexter Horton building on Google Street View, you can see that the sign letters aren’t as squat as that, they are taller and thinner, as well as the windows and the tower to the right.
It looks as if it was deliberately altered to make the “UFO” look flatter and more saucer shaped and thus more like a traditional UFO.

There are “artifacts” around the object. some pixellation or such. like you get from a bad copy/paste operation.

Why do so many now days think they must be rude or use foul language in order to make a point in responding to a submitted story and/or photo? Did anybody bother to look up streetlights to see if it matched one? If I saw or experienced something unusual or questionable I would be afraid to post it for fear I’d get a totally negative response to my query. Maybe it’s a fast paced world we live in but does than mean we all must have a fast paced mouth that utters things before the brain has a time to think about it?
I agree that our responses don’t have to be rude and disrespectful. At least “whitebear” shared this image for us to look at and draw conclusions. Personally I feel that it may be the light portion of the street light. You can see the streetlight pole just to the right of it. If you notice just below the object in question and towards the right there is a clear image of another streetlight. You can reference the light portion of that light and compare it to the object and they are very similar in shape with something sticking out of the top right portion. The sun appears to be position somewhere upper right given the shadow on the building. Given a strong glare, which completely glares out the view of the rod connecting the light to the pole, that glare would be strong enough to distort somewhat the image of the light portion, which in this case, is the light portion of the nearer streetlight. That would be my conclusion, but thank you Whitebear for at least affording us the opportunity to comment what we think It might be.

It’s a street light…..look farther down the street, you will see a street light that matches exactly, the post and light which appears closer to photographer that has the support arm washed out by intense back lighting. Come on, this is too obvious.

Something like this happened to me a few years ago, my wife and I were exploring a crop circle in Wiltshire, England, quite near to Avebury, my wife took a picture of me standing in the middle of the folded wheat. ( this was just before digital cams came out ) when we got the films developed, there were 4 spheres right in front of my chest, there was no light reflection or sun etc, and we could not see these at the time, I have tried blowing up the pics but they just become distorted.
I have showed the pics to many people but nobody can explain what it is, even the film technicians were stummped.
Avebury is a strange place mind you and there are lots of ufo and crop circle anomalies.

It’s a streetlamp. I live in Seattle, so I walked downtown to see if I could get the same angle. Looking up in the same direction as this picture, at a specific time of day (Roughly mid-day) the street lamp’s arm that connects it to the poll can be obscured by a reflection of the sun in a camera.
