The Navy SEAL who killed Osama bin Laden is speaking out for the first time, and he is upset about how he and his colleagues have been treated since the raid.

The SEAL known only as “the Shooter” was interviewed by Phil Bronstein for Esquire magazine.

Bronstein reported that the SEAL retired after 16 years of service, which was four years too few to receive a full pension with benefits grated after 20 years. “The Shooter” stated that now he and his family do not have medical insurance or protection from retaliation.

Bronstein, also a celebrity publicist, appeared on “Weekends” with Alex Witt on MSNBC on Saturday to speak about the Navy SEAL.

“The problem is that when you transition out into civilian life, not only do you have a host of problems that we’ve heard about that veterans have in general, but you can’t talk about what you’ve done,” Bronstein said to Witt. “So what do you put on a resume? How do you get a job that’s commensurate with the skills you’ve learned, in his case 16 years as a Navy SEAL?”

The reporter said that his interview with “the Shooter” took over 1.5 years because the SEAL was unsure if he wanted to talk about certain issues.

He retold the story about how other SEALs entered Osama bin Laden’s room in his house in Pakistan.

He rolled in after them, saw bin Laden with his hands on the shoulders of his youngest wife who was in-front of him and then he shot dead the terrorist who lead the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

It was revealed last week that the Department of Defense is now looking into whether or not the SEAL revealed any classified information in the course of the interview. However, Bronstein told Witt that the U.S. Specials Operations Command has already said that it does not see any problems with what the SEAL revealed.

Killing a dead man is not anything to be proud of. The “shooter” is a fraud.
