With my many times traveling to Egypt during the Mubarak regime I saw many things including the sadden faces of people. The horrific ways they lived under, how poor a country they were even with knowing my government was giving $2billion a year for humanitarian aid and for their military.

The problem was that the percentage of this money was mostly for the military and Mubarak with all of his cronies, yes just as here in our country the U.S.A. Egypt was yes another country with corruption stealing from the people.

In fact where I rented an apartment there was a school right across the street with a mixture of religions Christians/Muslims these children didn’t discriminate against the other they we equal in each other’s eyes, but what sadden me was how they had no school yard to play in, no funds were in Mubarak’s budget for this, but yet he made sure that anyone of wealth went to their social clubs with play grounds, swim clubs just as here they discriminated of the lesser class.

Where I rented this apartment was a middle class area, more up scaled from where I’d shop or travel during the day for I wanted to see how all people lived in Egypt. What I did learn was that they had no paramedics on the ambulances nor did they have medical supplies in their hospitals if you were brought their.

In fact a family that I had become quite close to told me a sorrowful story of their own child of 2years of age, how he had become so stricken with an illness they traveled to many hospitals being refused because of no room in the ER they finally made it to Cairo where by this time the child was almost dead, but the Doctors sent the father to the nearest drug store to retain supplies such as antibiotics needles cotton ETC, by the time the father returned back to the hospital the child has passed away.

I’m sure if this had been a person of wealth this wouldn’t have happened they do treat them with the supplies available but when your poor middle class you must go pay buy your own from a drug store when time is of the importance to treat a person with any type of illness, it seems money is the only thing that counts to some.

Again as in our country the U.S.A. if you’re of wealth you get the best doctors medical money can buy. I saw families living in cemeteries mausoleums/crypts for they had no other place to live as in our country we have much homeless living in our parks on the street as our government gusts our safety net funding to programs that help the poor our seniors.

Later during this article you will see two videos one by a friend who uploaded with a cell phone and another that I did with my cell phone, it’s real footage of Egypt before the revolution, in fact I canceled my last trip to Egypt at the moment this revolution had begun not knowing this was in deed going to happen.

What we have seen in our world has become earth shaking to our eyes many countries now doing as yes Egypt an uprising of sorts. Knowing that the United States always invades other countries screams it’s for humanitarian purposes DEMOCRACY or so they say, so why didn’t our government think that others would now stand up united fight for the real truth of what a Democracy should be.

Egypt lived under a dictator for six decades they have seen horror had their lives turn upside down into poverty. This country as ours was in turmoil, but we don’t know what their future will be from the outcome of this election yet, as in our own country we struggle everyday with measures that are of austerity put upon the weakest of us all who have no way of rising up.

It is now more than 16months that the people of Egypt stated their protest Revolution over turned their government Mubarak is gone, knowing the military had control till this election was over afraid their voices would be stolen once again by the corrupted regime that once silenced them before.

What if anything can we as Americans learn from the strength of the people in Egypt? We have OWS that flares up here and there without any demands, or a list of requests for the people the 99%. To me this is so unorganized without any type of real communication nothing as what the people in Egypt did.

On January 25, 2011 the people of Egypt occupied Tahrir square stayed until their demands were met, until Mubarak was over turned. Granted were not trying to overturn our President we have procedure of elections every four years win or lose we still have sort of a voice well kind of.

But the money is winning stripping away what once was our voice if we don’t stand united as the protester in Egypt learn from their strength what will become of OWS or our poor middle class seniors?

Some in Egypt still feel they haven’t won since they didn’t vote for either of the two that were running in their election feeling polarized for the two chosen were a pathetic choice, as yes as in our own Presidential race now unraveling you’ll hear some say neither of our candidates are suitable to be President.

Most people understandably feel that the military doesn’t have right at this point any longer to take charge since now this election is final but yet you hear that the military will retain the power to control the national budget which remember U.S.A. gives $2billion a year to this country, so whom will take most of these funds?

Again listening to their military they seem to still contain control with the transition to the new Presidents way of changing into his way of Democracy doing it in a three stage election process. I’m sure this isn’t calming the people of Egypt knowing they don’t want the military having any control now that this election has been final.

As I have heard Mohammed Morsi was yes the head of the Muslim Brotherhood but has resigned from this position since the election knowing there would be much conflict between the positions he now holds as President of Egypt, because you have not just a Muslim country there are people of many faiths living in Egypt.

One might believe that the military of Egypt and President Obama are concerned over the new Presidents pervious ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, since a country shouldn’t be rule under a religious law with many other religions that would be compromised over this. Even in our country the U.S.A. we have many religions different beliefs so again it would be impossible to have church and state rule our government or choices in law as we now are facing with the religious right of our Republican Party.

This to me is absurd ridiculous over the top when you try to bring in RELIGION to a POLITICAL AGENDA. Knowing that Religion has nothing to do with politics it’s been proven said back during a time of(1743-1826), Church State has been and always should be separate, as since stated in our constitution back when Thomas Jefferson the third President of the United States who was the principle author of the Declaration of Independence (1743-1826).

To me this would be a proper doctrine to apply to any country that share many religions among others.

Of course knowing that our Supreme Council of the Armed Forces want to restore keep confidence during this transition process plus again the U.S.A. is one of the main financial supporter of the Egyptian Military the United States must hold them accountable to uphold a inclusive constitutional drafting process making sure of a swift transfer of power to the civilian government.

I’m sure many of the countries nearby or otherwise are concerned of this transition about to begin a new parliament of heads, hoping that it will not upset the region keeping peace with Israel knowing they do have a treaty from 1979 to continue a peaceful relationship, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is looking forward in the continuing cooperation with the new leader of Egypt’s government in keeping both countries regionally stable.

So where do we as Americans go seeing how the Egyptian people found some peace with all they have been through, the burden of austerity that was brought to them by a dictator over six decades?

Do we truly believe we have this so called Democracy that we invade other countries to let them gleeful with jubilee here? How do we as Americans Stand United as the Egyptian people protest united for a reasonable outcome that would save our safety net stop the defunding of our programs that are truly there for the middle class, poor our seniors most important the next generation.

If anything the people of Egypt have taught us one thing if we don’t stand united we won’t win anything, all our yelling screaming was for nothing.

So people of the 99% it’s now or never to stand up united gather together make your voices heard all the way to Egypt show them how we have learned to protest for what is righteously ours according to our Constitutional laws.

Stop the corruption of re-writing our laws without our vote/voice being heard.
