Segregation, Civil Rights Our Voice, Vote Being Silenced Fraudulently!

We all know from hearing in the news media that were back to where it has once began during the reconstruction 1865-1877 where four federal civil rights bill were passed to protect the rights of African Americans to vote.

In fact it was almost impossible for many blacks to vote due to such things as poll taxes, literacy test, black codes and enforced segregation and let’s not forget the white only primaries, with the restrictive eligibility requirements and the list goes on.

The poll tax was a fee paid by a voter before he could vote, which was a costly so a poor person was unable to pay this tax and therefore unable to vote which of course blocked out many of the African American voter.

But what we haven’t mentioned in this time was women didn’t have rights to vote. The beginning of a new fight has begun women now made their Declaration of Sentiments producing the first Woman’s rights Convention in Seneca Falls NY in the year 1848.

It took about four years later in Syracuse in 1852, Susan B. Anthony joined with the fight for women to have a legal right to voice their vote. During the year 1912 Theodore Roosevelt’s progressive Party became the 1st national Party to support women rights of voting.

After a long battle in May 1919 the necessary two thirds of vote were in favor of women being able to vote and proposed amendment was sent to the states for ratification.

So yes voting has been a large issue for many decades in our country, even in the 1940’s 50’s and up till the 1960’s when blacks we protesting for their civil rights once again to be more vocal in our judicial voting platform.

It was then Democratic President Harry Truman who advocated strong civil rights protections even with his party rejecting his efforts. In fact in 1924 a Texas Democratic candidate running for Governor Ma Ferguson ran against a KU Klux Klan candidate in the primary which cost her election.

Fast forward to 1954 there were additional civil rights brought to the Supreme Court rendered Brown v. Board of Education which now ruled on integrating public schools with blacks whites ending segregation.

It was President Eisenhower who made bold civil rights proposals letting more blacks vote in our elections giving them more power a voice. President Eisenhower’s stared a civil rights commission and was the 1st President to appoint a black man to an executive position in the White House.

Now with all this still in 1962 in Birmingham riots began blacks in the south still weren’t being given their constitutional rights Rosa Parker stood up wouldn’t sit in the back of a bus any longer.

Whites in the South regained political control of the region, after mounting intimidation and violence in the elections. Systematic disfranchisement of African Americans took place in Southern states from 1890 to 1908 and lasted until national civil rights legislation was passed in the mid1960s. For more than 60 years, for example, blacks in the South were not able to elect anyone to represent their interests in Congress or local government.

. The African American people weren’t allowed even to travel in the front of a bus there wasn’t Integration in schools or in any place. They had their own places for drinking water and it was known that if there was a crime that had accrued they would be the first to be accused of it even if innocent.

Now in the days of JFK he started to lean to laws that stop this type of insanity and yes it was LBJ who in fact made it into law that all people no matter your color or religion would have a voice and yes the right to vote.

In 1964 the 24th amendment was added to our Constitution abolishing the poll tax, this was during President Kennedy’s administration while he proposed a strong civil rights bill also using most of the wording from President Eisenhower’s original bill, before it had been gutted by others.

Also in 1965 the voting rights act banned the literacy test many things were over turned giving all the right to vote in our country as American citizens.

But now it seems were right back where we started from our earliest beginning fighting what we already won the right to have a voice, vote in our elections to choose who we would want running in our states or in our White House.

Our Republicans are imposing a poll tax once again upon the weakest, poorest in this country. Using the claims of that there has been voter fraud when in fact this is a falsehood.

The Republican Party has focused on allegations of election fraud in many states such as West Palm Beach Fl., Missouri, Michigan, New Mexico even in Pa., when in fact it’s been about only a 2% mistaken voter fraud that has happen in every election going back over many decades.

This is just another scam the Republicans are using to prohibit minorities people of lesser class to be able to vote making it more difficult to retain the proper Id now they are requiring such as a nonvoter Id DOT card meaning if you don’t drive or own a car you will still need a non-driver’s license card.

When in past you could use a student photo id card or even which is more legal your American photo Pass Port that lets you leave the country and again return into the country, what would be more legal than this, knowing you can enter any country you would travel to with this Pass Port book then return into your country.

I’m always amazed and shouldn’t be by the stupidity of people in the Republican Party the audacity how they are taking away our Constitutional rights one by one bringing us backward into a very dark era.

With all the news voter suppression laws that are being passed by the Republican controlled legislature it also removes early voting or write in time for voting and has enacted new requirements on registration groups on when they must have them turned in by or will be charged a fee/fine

We know that Governor Corbett has been trying to enforce new voter ID laws in his last attempt to tighten up lose end making sure Romney wins his state of Pennsylvania but the problem with this law he is embracing will disenfranchise many minority poor people from voting.

Also Corbett’s administration has a very large amount of money invested into a contract company run by Romney which is promoting this Voter ID law. And will suppress Democratic leaning non-white, poor, Latino elderly and our youth voter, you might ask yourself why they would be doing this, knowing this is fraudulent. This truly isn’t about preventing fraud and protecting the integrity of our ballot box, this is a war on the American voter our voice being suppressed. It’s a race for new voter ID laws as a cynical ploy to disenfranchise as many voters that believe in our Present President Obama, the lengths of obstruction this Republican Party will go to is beyond unconscionable as this is a crime lingering when it’s so clear our voting rights are under siege.

We know because of recent figures last week by the states it turns out that 758,939 registered Pa. voters don’t have the most easily obtained and used ID as a driver’s license. Which is 9.2% of the registered electorate who now will not be able to vote with this new law the Republicans are trying to enforce in every red state.

What has happen to everyone being able to vote according to our constitutional rights, where did this civil right go that we already have fought for so far back in our history? If we were going to worry about voter fraud why didn’t we stop it during the Bush/Gore election when clearly the people’s choice was Al Gore as our elected President during that election, how did the Supreme Court rule this fraudulent decision?

During the political time under Bush our Justice Department conducted an extensive investigation in fact it was a five year probe to see if or how much voter fraud was going on, what they came up with was a total of 86 people in the year 2007 which included felons or immigrants who may not have known they weren’t eligible to vote.

Does this seem like we in our country truly have a serious problem with voter fraud, or is it just a scam the Republicans are playing putting up a brick wall so they can stop our vote voice from being heard knowing it won’t go to their candidate Romney.

Our attorney general spoke at the 103rd convention of the NAAC which now is launching a new battle against this fraudulent voter ID laws showing up across our country in every red state.

Women have fought for their right to vote our African Americans have had their battle with this same fight long ago, Martin Luther King if still alive would be leading the march once again for our rights not to be stolen for we won this fight already.

It’s clear that when the Republicans are pushed against the wall they seem to go for our jugular slitting our throats leaving us to die. But we must not give in to their wishes or commands since this is a war upon our civil constitutional rights that was once already fought and yes we won.

The center for American Progress has concluded that these criminal like laws that go against our very rights hinder the voting of the poor minorities elderly haven’t been seen or heard as such wording since the Jim Crow era.

Attorney General Holder is correct in calling this a poll tax that now is being brought back from the grave it was put into during the Kennedy Administration, with the rest of the unjust laws that were put upon blacks, poor minorities.

There is nothing that clearly says racism discrimination against people of lesser class or of color as this Voter ID law being pushed upon the people without status or means of becoming mobile to find their way in traveling to and back of getting the proper requirements now needed.

As Americans of all colors class status we need to take a hard stronger look at what is running as a candidate for our White House the people he chums around with, what he stands for and or what his pals believe in.

We have to wonder how far back his administration or this radical political Republican Party would be taking us all to. One can see they don’t intend on making any inroads in the African American/ Latino community or our middle class poor and or caring of our Veterans the elderly while supporting such blatant voter suppression tactics it’s clear there intentions would be one type of camp we’d all be living in but truly not free to vote in any election or voice to speak as we once believed/

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stood in front of this Nation made an amazing speech to all Americans. This man believed in our country that all would have freedom with dignity no matter your financial status or color and religion. Where has this dream gone for the American people?

A SCAM BEING ENFORCED BY REPUBLICANS TO SURPRESS OUR VOICE VOTE FRAUDULENTLY

      I don’t believe in women’s suffrage, either.
