Hackers Infiltrate Freemason Jay Z's Samsung App To Display Message, 'Yes We Scan'

HACKERS HAVE cloned rapper Jay-Z’s Android app to inundate users with messages criticising the US government.

The official app, which the rapper used to promote and exclusively release his latest album Magna Carta Holy Grail with mobile phone developer Samsung, has been copied and is now being used to send out anti-Obama messages.

The attack is believed to be part of protests against US government surveillance programs revealed this month. McAfee researcher Irfan Asrar said the program initially appeared to do everything that the official app did.

However, a timer in the code was activated on July 4 – the rapper’s album release date – which saw the app’s wallpaper change from pictures of Jay-Z to President Obama wearing headphones. Above the President’s image read the slogan “Yes we scan”, believed to be a reference to the NSA’s extensive Prism scanning system and plays on Obama’s famed campaigned slogan.
