Why Crime Is Rampant In America

Americans decry the crime rate in our country. Some blame lack of laws while others blame lack of enforcement. Democrats blame Republicans; Republicans blame Democrats and they both blame Conservatives, Independents or Libertarians. I recently had an experience that convinced me the lack of enforcement is the number one reason our crime rate is high and will get even higher unless the people step up and do something about it.

Last night as I was getting ready to wrap it up on my Facebook page, I saw a post from one of our family. It was from a page called “Cute Teen”. Some of the posts were not suitable for anyone under 18, let alone as young as our great-niece who isn’t even a teen yet.

Then I saw the comment from this scum:

“Sacked UP Harv Yo u don’t know me but we can make some cash together my brother works at CITTI BANK HE puts money on my account so I could do u a favor and have him put money on your account he can do any bank it dont have to be chase like if he put 5,000 u keep 3,000 and give us 2,000 plus if u find me people with accounts I will give u 1,000 they don’t need any money on they accounts to do this plus it could be negative!!! Not only is he trying to scam these kids into giving him information on their parents’ bank accounts, I went to his page to report him and feel like I should take a shower to get rid of the filth he posts. FB censors for anti-Muslim and anti-government material but allows scams and filth to be accessible to children.

This is an example of promoting the moral decay that is part of the problem with our country. If we don’t stand up to anything else wrong, we need to protect the young ones. It is unconscionable that FB pays no attention to what perverts and criminals expose our children to but constantly censors political posts. Morals and values seem to be convoluted. Our great-niece is still in elementary school and children her age should have better protection than this.

I filed a report to Facebook just before going to bed. In the limited choices available for complaints I chose offensive content. There was no choice for illegal activity or criminal intent. Maybe it would be a good idea for Facebook to add some new choices.

Next morning a status update on my complaint to FB was waiting. They “are reviewing it and waiting on his response”. Meanwhile this scum is trying to scam kids into revealing bank account information under the pretext of illegally placing “free” money into the account. As I said, there is no way to report this to FB. You are not given this choice in their report form. I posted this update on my Facebook page and asked my friends to please look at his page and report it as offensive. I don’t believe anyone else did. It is not their problem. It does not affect their children or themselves. What they do not think about is that it could be their children/grandchildren who fall for the scam and give out their bank account information. But no one cares until their own account is wiped out. Blindness, apathy or selfishness? Maybe all three.

I called the FBI and spent the morning on phone, emails and PMs. Reported the post on Cute Teen to FB for all the good it will do. If FB even bothers to look, they will see the cute picture of a hangnail and never read the comments where illegal activity is posted, let alone the unfit content above and below the illegal one. The FBI “documented” the complaint. In other words, dead filed it. All they took was my phone number – no name, no documentation of a crime or even Facebook information on me or the scum bag who has the potential of wiping out almost 28,000 (so far) bank accounts. But maybe they already have my information on file with the NSA data mining.

No wonder crime is so rampant in our country. People in the position to stop some of it have a “don’t bother me” attitude and filing a report is a joke. I feel I have wasted my time, effort and breath. Maybe this is what those in power want. Frustration and disgust are powerful incentives not to bother the next time. Except they do not realize the female protective instinct is stronger than frustration and disgust. We will go to any effort to protect those we love. With or without help I will make this go as far and as wide as I can. It is up to the people to police our world since those in authority do not. Wake up people! The bank account you save just might be your own. Or don’t you care until it comes true?
