Or the fact that the chart 3-4 escalation of trauma refers specifically to the use of baton’s not fire arms.

Our police (before MRAPS, body armor, automatic weapons or Federal Control) fired on protesting hippies because they hated them. I was there, I know.
I also retired from the Marines, but before I did, I also happened to have been in Watts, California in 1992. As a result of Rodney King, Watts rioted so bad, the governor called in THE UNITED STATES MARINES! Unlike the National Guard (that he didn’t feel could handle the job), we went in WITH LIVE AMMO. The Commandant of the Marines, at the time (General A.M. Grey) said that he would NOT send Marines into a hostile theater ANYWHERE, with blank ammunition (which at the time, the Nat Guard did often). He said, ‘if you are in dire straights and call upon the Marines, we will answer, but we WILL answer with live ammo and well-trained troops’.
We went, with everything from M16′s to TOWs and M2-.50 caliber medium machine guns. We had an ample supply of live ammo for every weapon system. We also went with the intent of ‘fire upon us, and we WILL ENGAGE and return fire’ (regardless of any hype to the contrary – I stood there, and I know).
If you for one second think armed troops (or police or feds or whatever) won’t fire on Americans, get a life. Those saying they won’t ARE NOT IN THE MILITARY, and not taking orders to do it anymore. I assure you, absolutely, that they will. Taking this up as a habit or Russian Roulette against a rifle fire team of Marines is right there with standing in the middle of I-10 at night with a black jumpsuit on. Your odds are really, really bad of walking out of it alive.

I retired from the Marines, and know two things. If sent into an area, the Marines will go in ‘hot’, and will follow their orders; secondly, if civilians open fire, they will die where they stand. It’s really bad math for the civilians.
You need to get off the Rambo TV specials, and walk into a Marine Rifle Fire Team while firing on them sometime, to get an idea of what combat actually is.
I’ve seen ‘untrained meatgrinder ops’ before. It looked just about like that deer that ran across the rifle range at LeJeune one time while I was there, and the range was hot.
If loud-mouthed militia wanted to impress me, they would have already addressed the 63,000 armed border patrol who predominantly don’t patrol the border, or the armed post office workers, or the MRAP sheriff offices across the nation, or would have at least worked to seal the borders when the ineffective government we have let it get as bad as it is now.
In the end, the militias are nothing but Katrina victims waiting once again to be disarmed. It won’t even be ‘Mad Max’ when it finally blows. It’s going to be a LOT MORE like North Korea is now. Starvation and subjugation with ZERO CHANCE of freedom, battle, or civil war.
