Is there nothing sacred that’s spared from the influence of politics nowadays?!

I get crazy snail mail all the time, and this one is probably one of the worst!  A phone company called “CREDO Mobile” (FYI, CREDO in Latin stands for ‘to trust or believe in’) sent me mail saying:

“Your cell phone company may be funding Tea Party Politicians.  Support the cause YOU believe in!  AND get a free phone!”

Normally, I would throw this kind of trash out, but I was particularly interested in what the heck this company had to say. 

Instead of selling the actual benefits of phone plans, companies are now try to sell products based on identifying with satanic customer values like supporting abortion!!!

Join me as I open up this letter and read the shocking statements that this company is making.

The rest of the text reads:

“Dear Fellow Progressive,
What is your phone company thinking?  If you’re with AT&T or Verizon, here’s an unpleasant surprise.  Both have given to Senator Ted Cruz who opposes morning-after birth control, shut down the government in an attempt to repeal Obamacare, and is so radically anti-choice that he would ban abortions even for victims of rape and incest.

But one cell phone company shares your values…

CREDO has donated over $78 million to progressive nonprofits like Planned Parenthood, Democracy Now! and Rainforest Action Network.  At the same time, we’re fighting every day to protect the environment, defend women’s rights, save the internet, secure marriage equality, improve workers’ rights and defend social security…”
