What Kind of Voodoo is Forbes Trying To Push?

There is this “opinion” piece in Forbes where the author claims that Obama’s approval rating is up and that it gives Democrats a chance in 2016.  Well… I got curious and decided to read the article…  am I understanding this correctly?  Zogby Analytics polled 1,052 out of over 300,000,000 people?  …and they call it a “nationwide poll”!?

Let’s break it down:

Sample size was 1,052 people.  

 –>   48% means that 504.96 people approve of him; the .96 must have been a “part human”

–>  49% = 515.48 disapprove of him. .48, “less than part human”

–>  61% young voters approve = 641.72  with almost one (.72) about to be called old.

–>  31% of this age cohort now disapproves = 326.12 people are maturing, with one (.12) beginning to realize that it is not cool to live in Mom’s basement.

–>  50% support among moderates = 526 people, of the same 1,052 also call themselves “moderates” not necessarily Democrat or Republican.

–>  41% [approval] among evangelicals = 431.32 people called themselves evangelicals with one (.32) about to become something else.

–>  57% in the “Creative Class” = 599.64 make money through “Knowledge Economy”  could these be…pundits?

–>  55% approval in the “Investor Class” = 578.6 daytraders had nothing better to do and one (.6) lives of his/her trust fund.

–>  43% of the above mentioned “Investor Class” disapproves of Obama = 452.36 people have lost money in the stock market under Obama with one (.36) probably loosing money under any president.

–>  57% union households now approve = 599.64 people belong or have a relative who belongs to a union. and 41% disapproving means that 431.32 do not, which leaves us with 21.04 people and one arm unaccounted for.

–>  53% of NASCAR fans approve = 557.56 people watch cars go ’round the world to the left…a lot.

–>  52% of Weekly WalMart Shoppers approve = 547.04 over half of the people can’t afford to eat out so they go to Wally World a lot.

–>  LGBT voters’ approval is up to 63% = 662.76 is gay.

–>  27% disapproval in LGBT voters = 284.04 is gay and does not approve, in spite of recent developments… so that means that 63% + 27% = 90%  …only 10% of the sampling was heterosexual?

–>  74% of Progressives or “very liberal voters” and “strongly in favor of the President”  = 778.48 people who participated in the poll want some form of communism.

–>  26% of Progressives disapprove = 273.52 people do not want communism, they just want everybody to get something.

So… it seems that the majority of the people who responded to the poll stay at home a lot because they get to answer these polls.  I could also surmise that a good number grew up in Evangelical households but are closet gays – it happens.  These pollters watch NASCAR; don’t have much money because they shop at Walmart as opposed to Publix or some other high-endish grocery store or, maybe, they’re just frugal because they are “investors” which is code name for self-employed but, oh wait… they call themselves “Progressives” which were the ones who came up with the “Occupy Wall Street”  

I supported the Occupy movement because I think of bankers as a pimple on humanity, but then, I realized that most of the protesters were unemployed college grads with massive debt.  If they were so smart to begin with, why did they fall for the scam?    These were nothing but stupid kids who were just mad because they couldn’t find a job – no – there were jobs, just not “up to their level”  

I’d be careful of anything Zogby says and if you’re Democrat, you’ll thank me for the mini-analysis, because he says that Trump is ahead but bases his result on 256 people polled, again, out of 300,000,000 people in the United States.(http://www.zogbyanalytics.com/news/610-trump-leads-in-new-zogby-poll)
