If America is a democracy, how so? Because we have free elections? We have no elections here, they select the candidates by party ELITE. We are then ruled by the ELITE, not only those who run the corporations and hire the puppet lobbyists, but by the actual people they choose to run the government.
The ugly part is, they pretend the whole while that it is a free election, and go around the world monitoring other nations and claiming that countries like RUSSIA are not free, because there, the people actually voted for Putin.

Great–then settle on it–AMERICA IS NOT A DEMOCRACY!
You have it right. AMERICA IS SOMETHING ELSE, that is not a democracy, and that, by deliberate design! That “something else” is called a REPRESENTATIVE REPUBLIC, and that is an entirely different design from a democracy. In the latter case, there is direct expression of power by the people, but in the former, that power is expressed indirectly through representatives, again, a deliberate design to thwart the great dangers inherent in the “democratic” design:
“Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have, in general, been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.” –James Madison
Historically, that is how those nations with a “democracy” design end up. I that what you really seek?
So, the question actually is, will you now get involved in the actual process there is, or will you rail because it is not what it is not?
this is what happens when people who have no way to see into the future sets about to make things fare or equal. It cannot be done and with so many who spend time on ways to subvert the original intent we need to stop trying. When we make things as simple as posable using words with single meaning that cannot be misinterpreted is how we will attain fairness. a direct vote with proof of citizenship and a one vote method using a marker ink so we have one vote will be the only fair way. Education on the candidates with full disclosure of their lives along with requirements for the job. A two part ballot with the name of the voter and ballot number to be kept by the voter until the election is validated. The rest will have the hand print with the marker ink placed on the ballot face. If fraud is suspect all the voters in the district could be brought forward and the ballots re certified by both number and marker. Our politicians write laws that are long and ambiguous so they may interpret it any way they want. this works to expand control and power. We as citizens need to regain control of our government.
