Dog Saves Baby's Life From Poisonous King Brown Snake (Video)
When a family’s dog in Australia picked up a baby by her diaper and threw her, the family initially didn’t know what was going on, but a closer look revealed the dog’s true intentions.
Khan, a Doberman, was watching carefully in 2007 as then-17-month-old Charlotte Svilicic played in the yard, when he began acting aggressively and attempting to push her, according to The Adelaide Advertiser.
The family had adopted the dog, who had been abandoned by a previous owner, just four days before this incident, so they didn’t know what was happening when he picked up their child and threw her.
What Khan could see, but the family couldn’t, however, was a poisonous king brown snake that was making its way to Charlotte, and the dog was attempting to put himself between the dangerous predator and the baby.
“If I had not seen it with my own eyes, I would never have believed it,” Catherine Svilicic, Charlotte’s mother, told The Advertiser. “Khan was really concentrating and was acting aggressive towards Charlotte and kept trying to nudge her but it wasn’t working, so he grabbed her by the back of the nappy and threw her more than a meter.”
Svilicic said she quickly realized there was a snake and that their dog was trying to save her daughter.
In doing so, Khan was bitten himself and ran inside the family’s house before collapsing, The Advertiser reported. Luckily, the heroic dog was given an antivenin shot in time, and after a tough night managed to survive.
The dog has a history of surviving against bad odds, as he was reportedly abused by a previous owner and was almost put down because of his injuries.
“When (Doberlinling Boarding Kennels owner) Kerry Kinder rescued him, he was starving, had broken ribs and had been beaten,” Svilicic explained.
Needless to say, Khan doesn’t have to worry about living a bad life or being mistreated after his heroic actions, as the Svilicic family said they were eternally grateful to the dog for protecting their child, the U.K. Daily Mail reported.
“If Khan wants a gold bowl, Khan gets it,” Svilicic said. “We owe him for the rest of his life.”
Although this incident happened in 2007, it nonetheless proved how loyal, protective and loving dogs truly can be. There’s a good reason why they have been called “man’s best friend.”

“The Advertiser” what a great name for a publication
And this story is from 2007 http://env.people.com.cn/GB/6481185.html
If you actually read the article I said it was an older article dimwit.
Jeffy, I cannot be bothered to fully read everything you copy and paste on the internet.
But I see you did, while also making the moronic statement “no idea why it went viral again” as you paste the story onto a news website where people are going to see it as news, which is exactly why things like this end up going viral a decade after they happen. People like you.
It says you are replying in email but when I come here nothing is here. It must mean the servers are working extra hard to assimilate your BS.
That must be it Jeffy. I see your prowess at copy and pasting other peoples work extends to knowledge of technology as well.
