A Burdensome Stone

2  Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about,

When they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

3  And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people:

All that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces,

Though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

The above passage from Zechariah 12 highlights a fact that will become apparent during the last of the last days prior to the physical return of our Lord to this earth. When He does return, He will step down on the Mt. of Olives in Jerusalem and there He will judge the nations and then establish His Millennial Kingdom.

Because of what’s been happening in the Middle East with the Hamas attack on innocent civilians, the world was shocked. Now that Israel has begun its campaign against Hamas into Gaza, the world is shocked by Israel’s alleged brutality, warmongering and so-called “atrocities” against Gazans. This could easily lead the world into WW3.

But what I find fascinating, besides all the prophecy pundits who are all offering their opinion as to which part of Scripture this current conflagration falls into (Ezekiel 38-39? Psalm 83? Armageddon?), is the fact that people are heatedly divided over this whole conflict. It reminds me of what the world went through with COVID.

During COVID, people were also vehemently divided. Those who thought masks were the be-all, end-all until the jab was available, were quick to judge anyone who did not wear one, labeling them potential “murderers” because of what they were allegedly spreading. Many got on their social network soapbox to even wish for the “anti-maskers” to die and hoped they received no medical help if they got sick. Once the jab became available, this type of jargon became common place as some of the most despicable communications ever. People were so afraid and self-centered that they actually wanted others who did not agree with them to die. Think about that for a minute. I’m quite certain the globalists who created the problem laughed themselves silly while they dined on the most expensive meals available and toasted with the finest wines, all without masks and social distancing. They were besides themselves with glee at how well it appeared their plan to subjugate humanity was playing out.

But that eventually started to die out with interest in clot shots at an all-time low, with the current uptake for the next CV booster at roughly just over 1% of the population, which means that Pfizer and others have taken tremendous losses and are in the process of laying people off.

So, what happened next? Hamas infiltrated and attacked Israel, allegedly without Israel suspecting a thing. I’m still not sure how that happened but we’ll probably never know if it was due to a system failure or a deliberate stand down in order to have a reason to go after Hamas (and ultimately, Iran and their other proxies).

So here we are in the middle of watching things ramp up to the point where nuclear warheads might come into play. I read yesterday that the United States has increased the draft age to 40. That tells us something right there regarding the USA’s potential direct involvement.

But I’ve noticed that people I’ve respected up to now who have always talked turkey about COVID and other things the mainstream media ignores, have taken the side of terrorists against Israel. For instance, I was reading through one woman’s Telegram channel the other day and noticed that at every turn, she questioned or even outright denied claims by the Israelis and favored the Gazan side of things.

Recently, a story came out that Hamas had gone into one Jewish home in Israel and took an infant and put it in an oven, literally baking it alive. The woman on her Telegram channel posted that this was apparently “fake” news. Why? Because a Jewish man had come out and denied that it happened. Yet she did not offer proof that it had not occurred nor did she even say what “proof” the Jewish man had offered, but simply appeared satisfied with the words of that Jewish man. It is interesting, that if a Jewish man says that he entered a home after the massacre and saw a young child who was not quite dead yet, but had bled to death slowly due to terrorists cutting off her hand and leaving her to die after killing all members of her family, but another Jewish man comes out and says that it did not happen, the second Jewish man is believed, not the first.

I’ve seen pictures and video as well as heard testimony of coroners and pathologists who have viewed what is left of many Jewish victims. It’s unconscionable what they tell us, yet there are plenty of people who simply don’t believe it because they see Israel as the aggressor, not the victim.

This is the same attitude that is reflected within the COVID arena. People are desperately opposed to one another. The lines have been drawn and people have vehemently chosen sides. As long as globalists can keep society divided with a boogeyman to blame that allows people to rally around their own cause, things will continue to go down hill for global society and we will end up giving globalists exactly what they want.

I don’t believe Israel is 100% guiltless. I think they’ve made mistakes. However, Hamas attacked innocent people on October 7, 2023 (however that was managed), and Israel responded. But in the end, the truth is on another level altogether. God has told us in many places throughout His Word that in the end of the last days, Jerusalem (Judah/Israel), would become a burdensome stone for the entire world. Right now, we watch as one nation after another comes out against Israel.

This conflict in the Middle East goes all the way back to Jacob and Esau, with Esau eventually begetting Edom. Obadiah explains it well and maybe we’ll get into that soon. None of this will be resolved before the Lord returns.

I do believe this latest surge in warfare in the Middle East with Israel smack right in the middle of it, is likely a strong precursor for the coming period when Antichrist is able to create a seven year peace treaty with Israel and surrounding nations. Of course it will be instability that creates that “need” for that seven year treaty. Things in the Middle East will need to become very unstable for a length of time before the world realizes that peace must occur. It will probably be after Israel cleans house in the Arab population and might even be after nuclear warheads are used.

What we also need to remember is that Jerusalem is the center of the world as far as God is concerned (Ezekiel 5:5), and it is where His holy Name will once again be uplifted. Jerusalem is the flash point and it makes sense that Satan would employ all tactics possible to ensure that that area of the world does not see peace. God has other plans and we all would do well to remember that what God does in that area of the world is fully for His glory, no one else’s. This is why He will save Israel and if we consider Ezekiel 38-39, we clearly see Him acting on His own behalf to protect what is His – Jerusalem.

Ultimately, what is occurring in the Middle East is certainly allowed and/or directed by God for His purposes. We should take God’s side, not necessarily Israel’s. Israel is a heathen nation exercising continued abject rejection of their own Messiah. God will bring them around and He will do it in His way and in His time. I applaud what God is doing as difficult as all of it is to see (because He wants no one to perish). God’s will is going to be accomplished in that section of the world but that includes some very difficult times for Israel because of their stone hard hearts, which need to be replaced with a heart of flesh in order to see the light of truth.

I’m not going to try to pretend to know what all of this means that’s occurring now in the Middle East. My heart goes out to all the innocent people on both sides. However, at the same time, many of those innocent people in and around Gaza celebrated when Hamas went into Israel and began massacring innocent people. Throughout the world right now, there are massive protests favoring Hamas’ position against Israel, calling for the mass extermination of all Jews. The rise in global anti-Semitism is at an all-time high, not seen since Hitler and WW2. This appears to be all part of the “burdensome stone” that Israel has become. It will likely get worse even if this current situation does eventually die down. I don’t think it will and many are already warning that WW3 is approaching and could easily involve nuclear arms.

Once again, this all ties in with Jesus’s own words in Matthew 24 where He spoke of wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, pestilence and the rest. Whenever war exists, disease, pestilence and famine generally follow.

Three years ago, I didn’t see any of this because I’m not a prophet. In fact, as I’ve mentioned, I didn’t see the surveillance machine ramping up throughout the world, as it exists in China. I was clueless as to how they would introduce a social credit score to the rest of the world, but once COVID hit, it started to become clear. That was the main reason for it. Second to that was the fact that they want to lower the earth’s population using the false claims of climate change to do so.

When COVID and everything attached to it began petering out, inserting a war into the Middle East seemed like the next best thing. They know people aren’t ready to mask up, lock down and take more jabs so they had to go with something that will scare people even more, hence the current conflict in the Middle East that may very well become a full-fledged global conflagration. While they’re at it, causing greater division in society is a plus.

Looking back, it’s obvious to see that this all seems to have been planned to happen in order to create the upheaval needed throughout the globe. A world that is in upheaval is a world that can be easily manipulated and directed.

My only suggestion is to continually seek God. Get close to Him. Remain close to Him. Try not to get caught up emotionally in the things that are happening today.
