Review of My Magnolia Memories and Musings by Patricia Neely- Dorsey

My Magnolia Memories and Musings is the second book by a true Southern Woman by the name of Patricia Neely- Dorsey. Ms. Dorsey was born and raised in Mississippi and knows how important the culture of the south is. She understands the iron fist in a velvet glove. The true meaning of a Steel Magnolia. She has sat on the front porch and waved to people as they passed by in cars. She has consumed gallons of wonderful sweet tea, eaten collard greens and cornbread. She remembers when Elvis was king and she continues to gain memories of going to worship on Sunday.

Ms. Dorsey takes the reader on a trip that most don’t understand unless they are southern bred. The slow walking, slow talking, good mannered culture that is as important to a true southerner as breathing. She has captured the south in its purest form just like the Magnolia on the cover.
