Ancient Egyptian Tombs Unearthed
Egypt’s government has announced that the discovery was made under the mortuary temple of King Amenhotep II. This is the temple of the seventh Pharaoh of the 18th dynasty, who controlled Egypt form 1427 to 1401 B.C and it is situated on the west bank of the river Nile.
The government has gone on to say that the tombs contain bones, artifacts and jars containing the organs of the deceased – as was Egyptian custom at the time of burial.
The artifacts are said to be decorated with images of the 4 sons of Horus – believed to be vital in assisting the soul of a dead person to ascend into the afterlife
This could be a very important discovery. As it stands, we think we know a-lot about ancient Egyptian knowledge, but in reality we know very little. Maybe this tomb could contain the pieces our puzzle has been missing for so so long….
