Living Violet-The Cambion Series Book 1

I’ve been doing a lot of reading since we’re stuck in the winter hiatus. What is up with that? I don’t remember reruns happening nearly as frequently as they have in the past few years.

Anyways, I have been reading a lot of books from my local library. Living Violet is a fun find. It’s simple reading, and you have to overlook the fact that the story line is trying to be a bit like the Twilight series. But if you ignore that, it’s decent. I’m still trying to wrap my mind around the ideas of a sentient being living inside someone and “feeding” off life forces and pumping their life out of them like hydraulic pumps. I like the main character, and how strong she is. She’s not at all whiney like Bella. I’m going to have to check out the second book and see if it stays consistently as good as the first.
