Titanic Or Olympic – Which Ship Sank?

We are told by mainstream media and White Star Line ship company that Titanic sank on April 15^th 1912, but is there more to the story than meets the eye? This book puts forward a huge wealth of evidence for the argument that in truth it was Titanic’s sister ship Olympic that went down in those early morning icy waters.

The Olympic was completed and in service a year or more before Titanic made it out of the docks. In that time she underwent at-least two recorded collisions, one of which was very serious and could well have left her beyond a financially viable repair – here in lies the conspiracy!

Did White Star Line conjure one of the greatest misdirections in history? Is it possible that they managed to switch the two ships and send the Olympic out, knowing full-well that she was unlikely to survive another serious collision?

Steve Hall and Bruce Beveridge have compiled the most complete book to date on the subject. I realise that most people have seen television documentaries about this particular conspiracy but from reading this book I also realise that the television documentaries seem to leave a lot of the more convincing evidence out.

For instance, there is information to suggest that the lifeboats aboard the ship that sank did not belong to the Titanic. This is illustrated by shocking revelations from survivors detailing old used boats, something that the Titanic did not have when it was inspected a few days before it was due to set sail. Alongside this is the fact that all thirteen lifeboats recovered from the water mysteriously disappeared a few days after being bought to New York, never to be seen again.

Perhaps one of the most convincing arguments for the switch stems from the way in which the ship sank. It appears from eyewitness testimonies at the time and modern diving expeditions to the wreckage that the ship on the ocean floor has injuries consistent with those suffered by Olympic in one of her earlier collisions. This adds a lot of weight to the argument. Could it be possible that White Star Line purposely sent a ship out, packed with passengers, knowing full well that it was likely to sink?

For the obvious reasons, it seemed that the truth about this incident was unlikely to ever surface. Far too many rich people would have faced the block. But now over one hundred years since the sinking of the ship, are we getting closer to the truth? – This book indicates we are.

I would recommend this book to anyone interested in the history of corporation cover-ups, and also to anyone who thought Titanic was just a film – Educate yourself!
