Tell us about your most recent release.

St. Peter’s Choice gives what I think the afterlife should be. There is no hell as most people have been through it on Earth. There is no reward for mere belief in something. What is left is a place a few discover where they can create a better world than this one.

What is the most demeaning thing said about you as a writer?

Someone recently referred to something I wrote as “Antichrist”

When are you going to write your autobiography?

I already did. It came out last November as A Fan’s Folklore: Six Seasons of Triumph, Tragedy and Tough Luck.

Are the names of the characters in your novels important?

Yes. In my most recent book, I called my characters “X, Y and Z.” I did that to say that anyone can have a strong enough voice to question “God.”

So when were you last involved in a real-life punch-up?

I punched a classmate in the mouth in the 8th grade because he tried to shove several books out of my hands in front of a room of people. It was a one punch fight.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

To be free to eat what I feel like eating

Do you ever wish that you had an entirely uncreative job, like data entry or working in a factory?

I do work in data entry

What is the single most powerful challenge when it comes to writing novel?

Selecting a topic

Do you laugh at your own jokes?

No. The true test of a good joke is if the audience carries the laughter.

What are books for?

To find an alternative universe.

I am the author of seven books and have three degrees, including a law degree. I impart to the public what I know and I like it.
