The Victory Lap picks up Jack’s story after the Olympics and his adventures of small town American politics, raising his family in Paradise, and teaching in Chico. Available in late 2014.
When are you going to write your autobiography?
The third in the series will be my memoir – and I’m trying to live to be worthy of it.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I still want to be an archeologist and explore the jungles of Mexico.

Hot Cocoa

I am reminded of it every day. Have you ever heard the miracle of the dancing pig?
Who would play you in a film of your life?
Brad Pitt. My sister thinks he looks like me (she is the only one).
What do you consider your biggest failure?
Not becoming an archeologist.

The biography was heavily researched.
What was the greatest thing you learned at school?
To be nice when other kids wet their pants.

I like to stay below the radar.
