Summer Is Almost Here; Let The Celebrating Begin

One of the best benefits of working in education one a traditional teaching schedule is having summer’s off. For the past 16 years, I’ve enjoyed those long lazy days of summer, rejuvenating for the rest of the crazy year. That is, except for 2012 and 2013. Those years I worked the majority of the summers as part of my job. YUCK! No fun!!! I never realized how much I’d miss the extra month off.

This year is different! I am back to a traditional calendar, which means I get a LOT more time off. Four weeks more, to be exact. Four weeks of swimming, summer BBQs with friends, reading, day-tripping. And writing. Lots and lots of writing.
