ING Direct $50 Bonus for New IRA Account and More

Though we are nearly one month into 2011, the deadline to make 2010 contribution to IRA account won’t end until the 2011 tax day, on April 18th this year. So you still have time to make last year’s contribution if you haven’t done so (see how to open an IRA account). Online bank ING Direct is having a promotion that gives $50 bonus to customers who open a new IRA account. The bonus is being offered to those who open and fund an IRA Savings or CD Account with ING Direct before February 7, 2011. In order to receive the bonus, you must make an initial deposit of at least $200. After all the conditions are met, the $50 bonus will be credited to your account on February 28th and is considered as 2011 contribution.

Speaking of IRA Account promotions, I have seen quite some from discount brokers in the past when it got close to the deadline. It’s still quite early this year, but there are also promotions out there. For example,
