Are There Typing Jobs that I Can Do at Home?
The “yes” is that you can get paid to type, and you can work at home while doing it. This is great news for people who want the convenience of working from home but don’t necessarily want to start a home business or invest in an income opportunity.
The “no” is that the jobs are contract jobs rather than the traditional employment jobs. This means that pay is not consistent, and workers are responsible for finding people to hire them.
There is more freedom and flexibility that comes with being an independent contractor, but also more responsibility. This works well for some people – but not for others.
The kinds of real typing work at home that I know about involve more than basic typing. They are generally transcription, administrative, writing or editing jobs that include typing as part of the job.
These jobs are still simple work that don’t require special skills or experience. They offer a little more variety that often keeps the work interesting. Usually, the more tasks involved in the job, the more money workers can make.
People who become independent contractors typically enjoy the extra freedom and the challenge that comes with the work. They are self-motivated and prefer to make decisions as opposed to having a boss look over their shoulders.
If you are looking for work that provides specific instruction and not so much flexibility and responsibility, working independently is probably not for you.
