Creating a logo for your website or blog

Zorraquino via Compfight

Planning to create a logo for your blog or website? You need to know a few tricks and have some great ideas to come up with a  professional design.  Here are some easy tips to create professional logo designs for your website:

Simple and readable:

While designing your logo try to keep it readable and simple. If viewers are unable to understand your logo, it is a major setback. Ask a logo creator to try to create letters that appear fresh and unique. Simplicity also plays an important part in logo design. Complex designs are often disliked. In short keep it simple and vivid.

Appropriate size:

Proper size is important for a logo whether it is large or small, it should fit well at any size.

Avoid using more than two fonts:

Though there are several attractive fonts it is always advised not to use more than 2 fonts on your logo. Use of several fonts will lead to the loss of consistency. To get better result use 2 unique fonts which will give a contrasting effect and seem catchy to the eyes.

Use vectors:

This tip might seem obvious to most logo creators but not to everyone.  Use vector formats in your logo design rather than jpeg logos.  With vectors you can have many variations of your logo.

Do not add photos:

As you know, photos are not vectors. They do not have any branding value and can’t be scaled. Therefore it is very difficult to use photos on your logo.

Use your logo on Dark background:

If you are ready with your dark magnificent logo but your customer wants it over his/her dark black object, it is generally not so difficult to adjust it, but a professional logo creator will already have that issue solved out.

Avoid following trends:

If you are fond of searching for awe-inspiring logos from the different design websites, it becomes irresistible to follow such trends. But you have to think to the future because your logo has to be fresh and unique. Hence do not follow the web 2.0 reflection or the web 1.0 swoosh.

These tips will help any designers create the best logos for themselves or their clients.  Happy designing.
