Although you may feel like there’s no point or way you can think - let alone plan – for the future, realize with that way of thinking you are planning for your future to remain exactly the same, in other words, to have no future.  As the saying goes, failing to plan is planning to fail.  “Your future does not equal your past.” Your present is simply a result of the decisions and choices you made in the past.  Change your decisions and actions today and you can change the future for tomorrow.  It’s that simple and it can happen that fast.

Creating Wealth – Where would you LIKE to be?

Do you want to continue to worry about bills with not enough money to live the way you want OR would you rather have more than enough money, able to live the life of your dreams?  The choice is up to you; if what you’ve been doing is not taking you to where you want to be, make the choice today – decide that you will begin down the path that will take you CLOSER TO not FURTHER FROM your goals and dreams.

Other Ways to Make Extra Money Around Your Schedule

First you must know what you’re looking for.  But beware: not all money or types of income are equal (see my article on Creating Wealth – The Type Of Income You’re Making May Be Costing You The Most).

Are you just looking to get by? That’s what the majority of Americans are looking for because that’s all they know.  If that’s all you want, then perhaps all you need to find is a part-time or spare-time J.O.B.; in other words, you’re looking for a short-term solution to a long-term problem.  (You’ve heard the acronym for JOB right?  J.ust O.ver B.roke)  Additional earned income won’t get you closer to becoming financially independent, but it will keep you busy trading your time so you can chase after money.  There’s nothing necessarily wrong with that, that’s just what it is.

Maybe you’re at the next level.  Maybe you’re looking for more than just a few ways to make extra money. Perhaps you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired and searching for a way out, an actual solution to your problems of:

• living paycheck-to-paycheck (or worse: living off credit cards),
• having no time or money to spend with your kids or spouse (let alone for a vacation),
• having no college fund set aside for the kids or even any savings,
• no realistic plans for retirement other than to just keep going…?

Are you one of the few looking to take control, looking for more than just a few ways to make extra money, willing to to do what it takes to provide the life for your family that both you and they truly deserve?  Are you willing to get a little out of your comfort zone, to learn and develop a few new skills and a different way of doing things to be able to later live life at a level of comfort that most people will never know by creating wealth?

Here’s the bottom line –

If you’re looking for ways to make extra money, you might as well focus your energy on creating passive income (versus earned income) – income that comes in whether you work or not, as a result of your previous efforts.  Of course, you won’t be able to create a large amount of passive income overnight.  You have to first put in the work to build and develop the asset so that it can start throwing off more and more passive income over time…

Once again the choice is totally up to you:

- Would you rather work now to create passive income over time (and then be able to stop working without losing your income)?

- Or work now to create earned income and have to keep working to keep getting paid?
