Amazon Is Printing and Distrubiting Independent Books, CDs, and DVDs For Free!

Take advantage of this opportunity while it lasts. This is a recent change to the services. They were charging for years. I have no idea how long this opportunity will last to publish for free.

Many people aren’t aware that Amazon owns a small publishing company (Createspace) that will print, package, and ship books, CDs, and DVDs by individuals for free. For those of you that have always wondered how to get your ideas out to the public, this may be the solution. They offer the following FREE services:

• Book Publishing and Distribution
• CD Publishing and Distribution
• DVD Publishing and Distribution

If you so choose, you can make them available for public purchase on Amazon, your own eStore that they provide, or just buy copies for yourself, family, and friends. Check it out. Its free to sign up and again, its an Amazon owned company. I’ve been using them to print, package, and ship my books since 2009 and haven’t had a problem yet.

Before I get a ton of comments telling me you have to pay for your copy, you do have to pay for the physical product if you want a copy. However:

• Its free to setup.
• Its free to proof online.
• Its free to sell on Amazon.

You only have to pay if you want to buy a physical copy for yourself or to give away. It doesn’t matter if you order 1 or 1,000 you will get them for extremely low prices compared to other services like Lulu. Right now, for example, all books under 100 pages will cost $2.12 each and you can price them at whatever you want if you plan to sell them.
