Tatra Plastics Introduces an Optional Bug and Bacteria-Resistant Protection into Click And Fix Plastic Planking
Tatra Plastics Manufacturing has introduced an optional bug and bacteria-resistant protection into Click & Fix plastic planking, www.plasticplanks.co.uk making it more hygienic and defending the surface against degradation, odour and staining.
On request, anti-microbial additives are added to materials during the production process and are especially useful in critical hygienic environments such as animal husbandry and food preparation facilities.
On a protected product, levels of bacteria are reduced by up to 99% in two hours, compared to an unprotected surface where they can proliferate at dramatic rates. In addition, laboratory tests have repeatedly demonstrated the ability of protected products to inhibit the growth and formation of moulds and yeast. It then provides continuous anti-microbial protection for the expected lifetime of the product.
There are considerable additional hygiene, health, safety and welfare considerations in using treated Click & Fix – for example, there are animal welfare benefits in stables, kennels, pig shelters, poultry houses and similar built from the range of snap-together plastic panelling products.
But the bug-resistance ingredient is not confined to Click & Fix. It can be added during production of any PVC extrusion, plastic extrusion, plastic tube, profile extrusion and injection moulding where a requirement for a clean and healthy environment is essential.
Click & Fix can be used to construct a virtually limitless range of sheds, outhouses, buildings, animal housings, shelters, agricultural and industrial units and internal and external storage units for commercial and domestic purposes.
