Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi releases LexisNexis-Universal book ‘The Indian Parliament- Beyond the Seal and Signature of Democracy’ authored by Devender Singh

. Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, Hon’ble Chairman, Estimates Committee, Lok Sabha, released LexisNexis’s book ‘The Indian Parliament- Beyond the Seal and Signature of Democracy,’  at Parliament House Annexe, in New Delhi on August 8, 2016, evening in presence of eminent dignitaries like Prof. K.V. Thomas, Hon’ble Chairman, Public Accounts Committee; Shri Bhartruhari Mahtab, Hon’ble Chairman, Railway Convention Committee and Leader of BJD in Lok Sabha; and Shri Rakesh Singh, Hon’ble Chairman, Committee on Coal and Steel and Chief Whip of BJP Parliamentary Party in Lok Sabha, along with eminent members from the Government of India,Bar and Media.

On the occasion, Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi said, “This book is a commendable narrative, an anthology as much an anatomy, and would be found immensely useful by one and all interested in the working of Parliament. The author of the book, Dr. Devender Singh, is very good with his language control and has presented a beautifully drafted book. There are debates in the Parliament after which bills are drafted and presented to the government. The fact is after reading the book, it becomes easier for the common man to understand the process of the Parliament, its activities and the tasks associated with it. The book also talks about various organisations in the Constitution, which keeps the government officials in check to prevent them from carrying out any unconstitutional activities.”Dr. Joshi also complimented the publishers LexisNexis-Universal Law Publishing for the high quality of the book.
