So you’ve bought your first Smartwatch and are already in the market for accessories. Given the fact that accessories for Smartphones are a lucrative business, it should come as no surprise that Smartwatches already have a trove of accessories as well. So what accessories can you find for your watch? Check out the list below.
1. Screen Shields
The first and perhaps most important accessory that you can get is one that protects your investment. This is where screen shields such as Gorilla Glass come into play. For a measly price tag of $1-$12, you can protect your Smartwatch from scratches and the like.
2. Protective Case
The next step is the protective case. While there aren’t many protective cases on the market as of this writing, it is fair to expect that this niche will be filled due to popular demand alone.
You then want to add a personal touch with a wristband. Some watches come with removable wristbands, which means you can replace this part of your watch with pretty much any commercial wristband you can find. This will also increase your device’s longevity.
4. Custom Skins
You also have custom skins, which can be bought off of websites like Etsy and eBay. These skins are not officially released, but instead are made by third parties, which are either small businesses or passionate individuals.
If you’re a big fan of charms you can attach Smartphone charms to your watch. In case you want to buy new ones, you can find them online on Amazon or Etsy. If you find a charm you cannot attach to your device, you can also purchase a charm holder that fits into the audio jack of your watch.
For people with big fingers, or who would like more precision when using their watch, you have the stylus. You can buy either a branded stylus or one of the many third-party options available on the market.
Depending on your device, you might want to attach a lanyard to the screen. The Neptune Pine, for example, has a detachable display which can be used to take pictures. A lanyard here would securely link the display to the wristband, removing the risk of the screen detaching and getting lost/smashed.
8. Ear Buds/Bluetooth
A headset or a Bluetooth adapter are perhaps the two most important accessories that you can buy for your watch if you like to listen to music, or even watch movies (why not?).
9. Wireless Charging Kit
Certain models and devices are compatible with wireless charging kits. These kits can be either proprietary or third party, but they are great for travelling and convenience in general. Also known as QI wireless chargers, they are often times compatible with Smartphones as well as watches.
10. Watch Stand
A watch stand is a great place to dock your watch. Some stands come with built-in charging capabilities, but the thing that makes them stand out are the aesthetics. A great example here is the Macintosh stand for the Apple Watch.
