Vembu expands into Middle East and North Africa by partnering with Distilogix

Chennai, India – Nov 15th, 2016: Vembu, with more than a decade of experience serving Small and Midsize businesses, thereby offering Backup and Disaster Recovery for all types of data centers globally has expanded into the MENA region by partnering with Distilogix. Below are the excerpts from the interview with Omar Kechrid, Founder & CEO of Distilogix.

a) Tell us briefly about Distilogix?

Answer: Distilogix is a true value added distribution company and vendor representative with an aim to be a reference point for Virtualization, Storage,and backup/DR projects.

b) What kinds of products & services you offer? Can you brief about that?

Answer: We provide tools that are complementary to virtualization for aspects such as monitoring, assessments and sizing, user environment management, printing, VDI, application virtualization, and more. We also have a big focus on modern software defined storage. Backup and DR as well is an area of great interest for our customers so we are putting a great deal of effort there.

c) What was the reason behind choosing Vembu as your strategic partner in your region?

Answer: We searched the market for a long time to find the right Backup/DR company to partner with. Vembu is a simple yet comprehensive technology at the right price point. The company believes in the value of the channel, is very easy to work with, and support our customers and us tremendously. We always look for products that will lead their space and Vembu is certainly in this trajectory.

d) What do you tend to achieve by partnering with Vembu Technologies?

Answer: We provide customers an alternative. We find that most customers have been locked into certain solutions simply because of a lack of choice in the market. Vembu provides customers in the region a single solution to address their physical, virtual and cloud backup and DR requirements. There are no surprises with Vembu, everything is included (24×7 support, updates, etc…) and the company is extremely responsive to new requirements.

e) Can you tell us briefly about your joint strategy along with Vembu in your Markets?

Answer: We have been very active in informing customers about Vembu and building the brand in our market. We have also been working hard in recruiting partners and informing the channel of the solutions. To be fair, the interest level has been very high.

f) What do you think are the challenges ahead for your business and how you would like to overcome them?

Answer: I believe that our biggest challenge will be rapid growth, so we will need to make sure that we put in place the structure to continue to provide top-notch support in all of our engagements.
