Take a Tour of New York Christmas Window Displays Courtesy of Google

You can now see New York’s famous holiday-themed store window displays no matter where you live, thanks to Google.

Dubbed Window Wonderland, the site was launched this week courtesy of the Google Shopping team.

“New York’s holiday window tradition dates back nearly 150 years,” the Window Wonderland site reads. “This year, walk with us through the streets of Manhattan — past Santa’s high-tech command center, cotton candy couture gowns, ice skating bunny rabbits, and the gang from ‘South Park’.”

The virtual holiday tour enables you to look at the displays using 360-degree technology. You can also listen to an explanation of the design theme chosen by each store with the sounds of New York in the background by clicking on the headphone icon.

On the virtual tour are Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Lord & Taylor, Sak’s Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman. Other tour members are American Girl, Barneys, Burberry, New York, Tiffany & Co., Polo Ralph Lauren, Henri Bendel, Louis Vuitton,  Cartier, Fendi, Tory Burch, and Michael Kors.
