Narrow vs. Twibble: Which Twitter Marketing Automation Tool is the Better?

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Let’s face it: While Twitter is an awesome place to grow your followers, doing just that isn’t exactly easy.

For one thing, the platform has millions of users publishing multiple updates daily, making Twitter one of the busiest and noisiest online real-estates on the World Wide Web.

Not only that, since Twitter is a known place for business owners and marketers to fish for clients, you can bet your family jewels that your competitors are trying their best to get their piece of their proverbial customer-pie in Twitter.

With how things are looking in Twitter-land, your best bet to growing your followers without you spending hundreds of thousands of dollars — and countless sleepless nights — is to use Twitter marketing automation tools.

Allow me to share with you two such tools.

The Twitter marketing automation tools we will cover are two of the best in the industry. I will show you what’s under the hood of each tool, so you’ll have a better idea which of these will work best for you.

Let’s hop right in.

1. Narrow.io

Narrow is one of those, set it and forget it Twitter automation tools that most marketers and business owners love.
The way the tool operates is simple:

Step 1: You need to enter the relevant keywords that you feel your audience is using (or the ones your audience is adding in their profile’s bio).

Step 2: Narrow will then “Like” tweets that have your keywords in it, and also follow the users who tweeted with your keywords in their post.

Step 3: If you enabled the “Clean up” feature, then Narrow will automatically unfollow the profiles that didn’t follow you back after a few days.

Isn’t it remarkable how you can start growing your followers every single day just by setting up your Narrow account once?

Narrow is a real time-saver for its users.

After looking into how Narrow works, two of the words that came to my mind are: “simple” and “powerful.”

I thought of the word “simple” since there’s nothing fluffy about the tool — it doesn’t have an overwhelming feel to it.

From the dashboard alone, you’ll know what or where to click to get to the page/function that you’d like to work on.

Here’s how the Dashboard looks.

Narrow looks pretty clean and crisp, doesn’t it?

As you can see, you’d be able to see an overview of the kind of results your keywords are bringing you.

(Note: The profile above isn’t showing anything yet because Narrow is still fetching the data.)

How to add your keywords

To add your keywords, you just need to click the “Add Keywords” tab.

You will then be taken to this page.

You can now start adding your keywords in the “Enter keyword” box.

If you feel that the keyword you’re about to add is something that the users would add in their author’s bio (like job titles), then click the “Target bios” tick box.

After adding your keywords, you will then be able to see them in your dashboard, along with the kind of results that the keyword has brought you (followers and conversion rate).

Setting your account

To setup your Narrow account, click the “Settings” link after clicking the gear-looking icon on the upper-right part of the page.

You will then be taken to this page.

Everything you can see on the page is pretty self-explanatory. Even the words that Narrow used to label its features are pretty mainstream, so the users will know exactly what to click.

Narrow is also priced very reasonably. They have three pricing levels:

  • Basic — $19 per month (1 user only)
  • Pro — $49 per month (3 accounts only)
  • Business — $99 per month (10 accounts only)

You can visit the “Pricing” page to learn more about the fees.

2. Twibble.io

Here’s a bird’s-eye view of how Twibble works:

Step 1: The user will enter the URL of the website that the users will want Twibble to draw the content from. Twibble will auto-detect the RSS feed of the site.

Step 2: The user will then customize the feed, add filters, and setup the schedule for the feed.

Step 3: Twibble will start pulling content from the RSS feed (based on the customization setup by the users) then publish automatically on the users’ Twitter account.

The steps above will show you how Twibble makes it easy for users to publish content on their Twitter profiles automatically, therefore, leading others to follow them.

While there are a lot of good things to be said about Twibble, the software might not be a good fit for a lot of marketers and business owners — especially for those who do not have a lot of time on their hands.

I say this because those who are new to the platform might find it overwhelming and complex. I imagine those who are total newbies to marketing automation would need a bit of a learning curve to understand how the tool works.

In fact, if you’ll look at Twibble’s “Add Your Feed” page, you’ll find that the users would have to plow their way through several buttons and functions just to set up their feed.

Here’s how the page looks.

As you can see, while Twibble allows for a good bit of customization (which a lot of people would appreciate), there are also going to be others who will find it too overwhelming.

A point worth mentioning, however, is Twibble’s “Preview” feature.

Because Twibble allows its users to customize their posts in a lot of ways, having the preview shown on the same page helps Twibble’s users save time when setting up their feeds — simply because they no longer have to go to another page (and wait for the page to load) just to see the effects of the customization that they set up.

Twibble’s Analytics feature gives its users a better perspective of how their feeds are performing.

Twibble will also tell its users when the best time is to post their updates.

With all this data available, Twibble’s users are then able to remove the sites (or feeds) that aren’t bringing them any conversion, then add new sites.

Twibble offers a free seven-day trial. The users will then have to subscribe to a premium account once their trial period expires.
Twibble has two pricing packages:

Twibble Pro: $10 per month or $100 per year

Twibble Infinite: $100 per month or $1,000 per year

You can learn more about what each package has to offer by through its pricing page.

Who’s the winner?

While Twibble certainly has its merits, I’d consider Narrow to be the better Twitter marketing automation tool when it comes to growing your followers.

The thing with Twibble is it doesn’t help its users with automatically liking and following other users (and unfollowing those who do not follow them back), unlike Narrow. This bit is important in a lot of ways.
For one thing, liking and following others puts the rule of reciprocity in effect.

According to social psychology, people have the inclination to reciprocate whatever actions or treatments are made towards them. Such is the rule of reciprocity.

That said, if you liked or followed anyone, there’s a good chance that they’ll do the same thing to you.

The fact that Narrow automates the task of liking and following others, all while allowing the users to add a set of keywords that Narrow can use to target a specific audience gives the Narrow users a chance build followers that are highly relevant to their niche while spending the least amount of time.
