Amazon's Biggest Fear: Sears

It’s easy to believe when you figure the true impact Sears has had on the retail industry since it’s existence. 

The fact of the matter is that leadership plays a key role in company sustainability, long term outlook, revenue growth, company moral, workforce confidence, innovation and so much more.

Sears holds the key to competition in the retail industry. With all the resources, tools, employees, community exposure & placement, products & services there is not much Sears can’t handle. Unfortunately when you have leadership in place that is distracted by other business ventures such as a hedge fund and real estate entity it’s not much of a surprise that Sears doesn’t receive the attention it truly needs.

Where is the primary value in Sears Holdings? Does it come from the name? The Real Estate? Inventory? Exclusivity on products & merchandise? Services? It’s all of it!  

Is the debt manageable or is bankruptcy the next option? Without a doubt the debt is manageable and the capability to promote new products and resources in an efficient and innovative fashion will help produce better than expected revenue, additional revenue and provide a long term schedule for sustainable operations.

What does it take for people in communities all across the World to devote their Time to petitioning for someone new?  When people become fed-up with the reoccurring news of layoffs, retail closures, bankruptcies all while executives receive compensation that doesn’t fit the bill people will take charge, people will engage and decide that what’s happening in the industry and in our communities is not right. People will sign the petition and offer the idea that someone new might provide the guidance needed to ensure a future of growth and innovation that supports communities near and far.

It’s easy to imagine that Sears can provide a shopping experience that inspires us to go out, enjoy ourselves, involve ourselves in the retail atmosphere with the intentions of purchasing products that enlighten and inspire within our realm. It’s easy to imagine that Sears can help increase foot traffic in the retail ecosystem and drive a new element of purchasing that replicates throughout sectors and industries helping in the process to increase local tax revenue from within the Company and from within other companies, support local job growth and develop plans to expand in cities providing economic benefits that people and see and feel. 

What other benefits can Sears have on communities near and far? Is it possible that Sears Holdings can help in the process to abolish homelessness? Absolutely. Is there a product or service that doesn’t help in housing first? In providing essentials for people to get back on their feet? Resource solutions that help us to gain ground in our life, build confidence and grow within ourselves? 

The landscape for growth is endless for Sears Holdings. It takes new leadership.
