SVS continues to innovate, first with vampires, now with bats

I’ve been a big fan of Sneaky Vampire Syndicate since the early days, before the vampires existed and it was just a Discord full of vamp fans.  When I first joined the SVS Discord there were around 10,000 people on it, and I was surprised, I’d never heard of this project, how did it become so popular so quickly?

Fast forward a few days later and the Discord was 50,000 people strong, and the community was excited, damn excited. SVS has a powerful combo bringing in a legendary artist – Mig, who was part of the Bored Ape Yacht Club art team, Woof – who is easily one of the best minds in smart contracts, and a great team to complete the set.

What first impressed me about SVS was the team, then the community really won me over, and the icing on the cake was the care they put into their smart contract and the security of their minting process. In all honesty, SVS has set a high bar when it comes to fair minting, and I did an interview with Woof about their anti-bot tech that I think will become a new standard in short order.

So it should come as no surprise that when Sneaky Vampire Syndicate announced the addition of bats, their first companion piece, they applied the same innovations they did with the vampire minting. The smart contract for bats is like a work of art, it’s the pixel perfect version of Solidity code, and the end result is lower gas fees for vamps getting their bats.

For those keeping score you’ll remember that SVS released a staking mechanic and $blood token a couple of weeks ago. When it comes to delivering on a roadmap, it’s safe to say SVS is on point.

I could go on and on about my thoughts on the bats, staking, etc. but I have to go claim my bats and stake them and my vamps so I’ll end it here. It’s vampire day in the Linton household 🧛‍♂️

One last point that’s important to note – it’s not too late to get a bat. If you haven’t “vamped in” yet – you can still buy a vamp and claim the corresponding bat if it hasn’t been claimed yet. The window to claim bats is open for seven days so you still have a full week to snag a vamp and hop in the Discord and join us in the lair 🩸
