Resource Integrated Ltd. (www.ri007.ca), a boutique-style production firm that specializes in printing, retail fixtures and displays, and data driven communications, is excited to announce that it has just installed a brand new, state-of-the-art 3D printer, the Dimension SST 1200es, in its office.
“As our world changes and evolves, it is important for our company to continue to move forward with today’s innovations,” says Antony Rubino, Managing Director of Resource Integrated Ltd. “The integration of 3D printing into our business will empower our clients and bring their creative visions to reality”.
The new Dimension SST 1200es, produced by Stratasys out of the U.S., is a revolution in 3D printing technology and is able to 3D print objects as large as 10x10x12 inches at a time. The printer utilizes Fuse Deposition Modeling (FDM) Technology, which allows the 3D models to be printed one layer at a time from the bottom up. All models are composed of engineering-grade thermoplastics and use ABSplus™ modeling material, allowing them to be sanded, drilled, and painted as desired to achieve the final finished product.
“The potential of on-demand manufacturing is here today,” says Rubino. “By exploring the additive manufacturing solution and logistics network, manufacturing companies of all sizes will be able to access on-demand industrial manufacturing with the touch of a button.”
The new 3D technology will be ideal for manufacturers who want to reduce inventory for slow-moving parts; industrial designers and engineers who want high quality rapid prototypes delivered as fast as one day; manufacturers and retailers of custom/semi-custom goods who could benefit from the cost-effective customization of goods; as well as those with short production runs where the cost to create the mould or tooling could make these orders too expensive for traditional manufacturing. Entrepreneurs, start-ups and manufacturers who don’t currently have access to 3D printers or have limited capital and time will also benefit from the technology and can use 3D printing for rapid prototyping and manufacturing of initial production runs.
“We are constantly experiencing growth and it makes the most sense to devote our time and effort to what is trending and working right now,” says Rubino. “We look forward to helping our clients bring their design ideas to life through 3D printing.”
