Punxsutawney, Pa – The only question being asked today is did the groundhog see his shadow? The simple answer to that question is that when he awoke and came out this morning he did see his shadow – thus 6 more weeks of winter is ahead in 2010!

But that does not preclude the Pittsburgh Pirates from starting spring training in Bradenton Florida at McKechnie Park. The Pirates begin Spring Training games on March 2nd and continue thru April 2nd in Philadelphia against the Phillies.

So CHEER UP! Just because Punxsutawney Phil says there is six more weeks of winter in 2010…just THINK SPRING!
