PRESIDENT OBAMA: Untie the Hands of Our Intelligence Agents!

Dr. Scott issued the following statement to the press in response to the mail bomb threat thwarted by officials that involved packages with explosives apparently bound for Chicago Jewish synagogues, and the foiled Washington DC Metrorail bomb plot — calling for an end to the political correctness which dominates among the Obama administration and our so-called elites, and which enables our enemies to kill innocent civilians through its complicity with and appeasement of evil:
The men and women of our intelligence agencies have performed flawlessly; they have saved the lives of thousands of Americans. I call on President Obama and the Democrat administration to untie the hands of the intelligence community and allow them to re-deploy words such as “Radical Muslims,” “War on Terror,” “Muslim Jihadists,” “Radical Islamic Terrorists” and not continue to emphasize the weak and meaningless phrases preferred by this administration, “man- made disaster” and “extremism.”
By being explicit, the enemy can be swiftly identified and American lives will be saved here in America and abroad.
As your Congressman, I vow to be strong on national security, defend and protect our nation from its enemies and support our ally, the only democracy in the Middle East, the State of Israel.
About Dr. Marvin Scott…
Marvin Scott is running for the House of Representatives because as a Frederick Douglass Republican, he feels Republicans have a long and rich history with basic principles: Individuals, not government, can make the best decisions; all people are entitled to equal rights; and decisions are best made close to home. He wants to provide long term leadership for the state of Indiana. Moreover, he is committed to helping Indiana become a benchmark for the rest of the region in economic, educational, and community success.
Dr. Marvin Scott has been a professor of Sociology at Butler University for 19 years. For the first two and a half years at Butler University, he served as professor of Education, Adjunct Professor of Sociology and Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies in the College of Education and Assistant to the President. In 1990 he served as Program Director in Higher Education for Lilly Endowment, Inc.
For nine years, Scott was president of Marvin Scott Associates, Inc., a management-consulting firm. During that time he served for one semester as the Distinguished Visiting Instructor of Psychology at Quincy College in Quincy, Massachusetts. Dr. Scott served as President of Saint Paul’s College in Lawrenceville, Virginia in the late 1980s and prior to that he was Special Assistant to the Chancellor of the Board of Regents of Higher Education in Massachusetts.
While working at the Regents, he served as Adjunct Professor of Education in the School of Education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. From 1970 to 1979 Dr. Scott served as Assistant to the Provost and Associate Professor of Education at Boston University.
In the summer of 1972 Marvin Scott found himself in Africa as an evaluator of school curricula for numerous school systems. In addition to Africa, Scott has taught in the Boston University overseas program in Naples, Italy, and coordinated the education overseas program in Heidelberg, Germany. He has served as a consultant to public schools, colleges, universities and federal courts throughout the United States.
As an educator, Marvin Scott understands that a solid education is the foundation of every American. He believes his national and international experience will bring a unique perspective to the United States House of Representatives. Dr. Scott learned early the importance of a good education and has spent a lifetime teaching children the values of honesty, hard work, and commitment to family and community.
Marvin Scott is married to Dr. Dulce Maria Scott and they reside in Indianapolis, Indiana. They have four children, Marvin Jr. 14; Alexandra 28; Cinda 33, Robert 39. Marvin is a member of the Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis where he is a Deacon. He is President of the Indianapolis Board of Water Works, Member of the Midwest Interstate Passenger Rail Commission, Board Member of the Abraham Clark School of Law, and serves on the board of the Crossroads Council of the Boy Scouts of America and the Regional Council.

WAR-God vs PEACE-God. The Old Testament followers worship a WAR GOD and spend their lives hating, reliving every imagined slight, and dreaming of VENGENCE ….. “NEVER FORGIVE and NEVER FORGET” …. they still go on about Egypt and Babylon after MILLENIA. New Testament followers (are supposed to) worship a loving, forgiving Good, and to CLOSE the Old Testament, as it has been FULLFILLED by the Crucifixion of Jesus. If you are following the OLD Testament you ARE NOT and CANNOT be a CHRISTian.
We Christians cannot speak of the ‘promised land’ as an exclusive right for a privileged Jewish people. This promise was nullified by Christ. There is no longer a chosen people – all men and women of all countries have become the chosen people.
We cannot resort to theological and Biblical assumptions as a tool to justify injustice. We want to say that the promise of God in the Old Testament, relating to the ‘promised land’ … as Christians, we’re saying that this promise was nullified by the presence of Jesus Christ, who then brought about the Kingdom of God. As Christians, we cannot talk about a ‘promised land’ for the Jews. We talk about a ‘promised land’ which is the Kingdom of God. THAT is the promised land, which encompasses the entire earth with a message of peace and justice and equality for all the children of God.
There is no preferred or privileged people. All men and women from every country have become the ‘chosen people.’ This is clear for us.
We cannot just refer to the ‘promised land’ to justify the return of the Jews in Israel, and [ignore] the Palestinians who were kicked out of their land. Five million Jews kicked out three or four million Palestinians from their land, and this is not justifiable.
There’s no ‘chosen people’ any longer for Christians. Everybody is the ‘chosen people.’ What we say is something political. Sacred scripture should not be used to justify the occupation of Palestinian land on the part of the Israelis.
Our “intelligence” services STINK. They did NOT predict the collapse of a dead-on-it’s-feet USSR. The DRUGS on our streets ALWAYS come from the areas in which they are operating. They are USELESS.
