From the blaze:

Open Doors USA, an organization that monitors and exposes Christian persecution around the globe, has released its “2014 World Watch List” — a report that highlights and ranks the worst nations in the world to be a Christian.

Topping the list this year are countries known for brutal government crackdowns or for the uncontrolled and murderous tactics of extremist groups within their borders.

The absolute worst places to be a Christian this year are: North Korea, Somalia, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. (See list above for the 10 worst) …

In ranking each country on the list, Curry (Open Doors CEO) said his team looked at violence, government pressures and other related indicators. These issues are collectively assessed and countries are rated on a point system, which subsequently led to the current rankings.

Response: Note that 9 of the top 10 are Muslim countries. Also note that Afghanistan is #5 on the list yet we are still have thousands of troops fighting for that regime? Iraq is now #4 but was never even on the list till we took out Saddam Hussein and allowed the radical Muslims to attack the Christians while we were in charge and had a hundred thousand troops there.

Meanwhile we are helping the Islamic radicals in Syria (#3) while they attack Christian villages and Saudi Arabia (#6) continues to be close ‘friends’ of the US even though they seem to be down on President Obama’s current Middle East policies.

Also if you read the original article, Open Doors is quite critical of the Obama administration’s record for protecting the religious freedom of Christians around the world.            *Top
