Wilhering — Diakonatsweihe

Diözesanbischof Ludwig Schwarz weihte am Samstag, 1. März 2014 P. Otto Rothammer, Zisterzienser von Wilhering, in der Pfarrkirche Vorderweißenbach zum Diakon. Für das Kloster Wilhering, die Pfarre Vorderweißenbach und viele Gäste war es ein besonderer Freudentag. Abt Reinhold Dessl, viele Mitbrüder aus dem Stift und andere Geistliche nahmen an der Eucharistiefeier teil. Der festliche Gottesdienst wurde vom Kirchenchor und vom Orchester Vorderweißenbach unter der Leitung von Dir. Konrad Ganglberger mit der „Spatzenmesse“ von W. A. Mozart musikalisch umrahmt. Bischof Schwarz betonte den Dienstcharakter des Diakonamtes und berichtete in seiner Predigt auch von den pastoralen Anregungen, welche Papst Franziskus den österreichischen Bischöfen anlässlich ihres Ad-limina-Besuchs mitgegeben hatte. Er strich dabei den Wert des Gebetes und der Sakramente hervor. P. Otto wird als Diakon sein pastorales Einführungsjahr in der Pfarre Vorderweißenbach fortsetzen.
