HALLOWEEN: THE CELEBRATION OF LUCIFER & DEATH

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

It’s America’s second favorite consumer holiday, with over $6.9 billion spent according to the National Retail Foundation.  Approximately 157 million Americans will participate this year, and will unknowingly celebrate an ancient religious holiday of the occult.  That day is Halloween.

Most Christians think October 31st is a harmless day of costumes and candy.  Few however, know the truth behind this infamous date.

Halloween began as an occultic celebration rooted in Satanism. If this wasn’t shocking enough, America not only fell for this trick, but also has played the disastrous role of exporting this Luciferian propaganda to the rest of the world wholesale, through Hollywood and our mainstream cultural outlets. On Monday October 26th, 2015, Rick Wiles interviewed South African Pastor, Dr. Peter Hammond, the President and Founder of Frontline Fellowships on TRUNEWS. During the interview, Dr. Hammond spoke to how he has witnessed this paradigm directly impact the Christian community, “because of Hollywood, many church’s and even those who would call themselves Bible believing born again Christians, spirit filled Christians, are getting themselves involved in celebrating Halloween or encouraging their children to, which is just absolutely bizarre!”

Pagan Celtic society started Halloween as the festival of Samhain, which was positioned on October 31st to align with the changing temperatures at the beginning of Winter in the Northern Hemisphere. The Celtic Druids believed this change in season signified the loss of strength by the sun god, and the emergence and overpowering by Samhain, the lord of death, as winter began in the west. They also believed that on the eve of November 1st, all the spirits of those who had died the previous year returned to their former homes to be with the living.

Many modern day symbols of Halloween actually originate from symbology of this practice. For example; wicca cages, a now seemingly innocent holiday prop, were initially used to accomplish human and animal sacrifices as shamanists, satanists, and witch doctors placed their victims inside and burnt them alive. The Druids believed this sacrifice was required to please Samhain, and prevent the previously released spirits from harming him.

Another symbol in this ritual many may be familiar with is the jack-o-lantern.  Local residents of the day put a carved pumpkin outside their home or on their doors to show their support for the sacrifices. The jack-o-lantern also served as an ancient symbol for a damned soul.

It was a common practice for families to be threatened and cursed if they didn’t support the barbarism. If they agreed with it, they were promised wealth and prosperity. Sound’s a lot like trick or treat right? When the daughter, cat or animal, was being burned alive, the Druids would also dress up in animal skins and do the ‘dance of death’ amidst the screams to ward off evil spirits, hence the wearing of costumes.

Even Dracula, a common hero of Halloween, is connected to a historically gruesome past. Count Dracula, also known as Vlad the Impaler, ruled in Romania for six years during the 15th century. In his short reign he was responsible for the massacre of 100,000 men, women and children. He even warrants the credit for the first house of horrors, hosted in his own palace. There he bought sick, handicapped, elderly, and asked them “do you want to be without cares, lacking nothing in the world?”   He then ordered the place boarded up before setting fire to the building, killing all inside.

What would people say if they realized Halloween truly represented animal cruelty and the killing of kids? Or that the event had been responsible for 100,000’s of acts of vandalism and countless murders of children and hitchhikers, snatched for the yearly offerings. Even the Roman Catholic Church recognizes the evil behind this day, and moved All Saints Day to November 1st, where participants head to the graveyards and light candles on tombstones, as they eat with their ancestors in hopes of warding away the evil spirits.

So what happened? How could the modern church have let this continue? Compromise and accommodation are near the top of the list. Aside from delegating blame, the real issue at hand is the fact that all the gatherings, parties, and events surrounding Halloween, including those being held by Christ professing church members, are inadvertently glorifying the Satan, not God.

Hammond answered that question by quoting 1st Thessalonians, chapter 5 verses 21-22, “but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil,” where God calls all his believers to reject evil and utilize discernment to identify evil

He also said there is no doubt that discernment has been socially criminalized and our nation has been deceived. Proper understanding of the facts, that truth sets us free, and lies & deception bind us, will be the only thing that leads us away from bondage and slavery, and holds us fast to what is good.

One of the lies slandering active discernment in our congregations, he continued, is that discernment is really just a form of legalism and judgmentalism. “Do not judge,” rings loud and clear from many of our peers lips, as we attempt to warn them against stumbling into evil, but the point being missed is that no one is challenging God’s sole role to cast condemnation, but simply reminding others that He still wants us to think for ourselves, like when were driving a car and deciding on the speed, or the parental choices we make for our children. Peter went on to boisterously state “we seemingly commit a cardinal crime for using any king of thought process.”

Every culture in the world has a form of Halloween, whether it is the Aztec’s Day of the Dead or China’s Ghost Festival. The researchers at Answers in Genesis have postulated that this may have first begun as a day of repentance, remorse, and recognizing the consequence of sin which lead to death. It has, ironically, since evolved into a celebration of death and apathy to repentance and sin.

In the book of Deuteronomy, Chapter 18, verse 9, God instructed us “When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there.” God allowed us to dispose of nations which turn to the occult. Likewise, those that turn from evil are blessed, and those that embrace it befall the same fate as Israel in the Old Testament of the Bible.

During the interview, Dr. Hammond & Rick Wiles agreed that faith is at the lowest since the reformation 500 years ago. But all is not lost. Especially for October 31st, as this date has a much higher significance than that of an anti-Christian worship fest. On October 31st 1517, Dr. Martin Luther nailed 95 arguments to the church door in Gutenberg, Germany, which kick started the greatest rediscovery of the Gospel in known history. If we instead choose to spend this day evangelizing with our children, actively countering the dark narrative of Lucifer, and resisting Satan’s New World Order, this may be a great turning point for the church of Jesus Christ in the world.

The Bible does not mention Halloween. However, both the ancient origins of Halloween and its modern customs show it to be a celebration based on false beliefs about the dead and invisible spirits, or demons.—See “Halloween history and customs.”

The Bible warns: “There must never be anyone among you who . . . consults ghosts or spirits, or calls up the dead.” (Deuteronomy 18:10-12, The Jerusalem Bible) While some view Halloween as harmless fun, the Bible indicates that the practices associated with it are not. At 1 Corinthians 10:20, 21, the Bible says: “I do not want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too.”—New International Version.
      Halloween history and customs

Samhain: The origin of Halloween can be traced to this “ancient pagan festival celebrated by Celtic people over 2,000 years ago,” states The World Book Encyclopedia. “The Celts believed that the dead could walk among the living at this time. During Samhain, the living could visit with the dead.” However, the Bible clearly teaches that the dead “are conscious of nothing at all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5) Thus, they cannot contact the living.

Halloween costumes, candy, and trick or treat: According to the book Halloween—An American Holiday, An American History, some of the Celts wore ghoulish costumes so that wandering spirits would mistake them for one of their own and leave them alone. Others offered sweets to the spirits to appease them. In medieval Europe, the Catholic clergy adopted local pagan customs and had their adherents go from house to house wearing costumes and requesting small gifts. The Bible, on the other hand, does not permit merging false religious practices with the worship of God.—2 Corinthians 6:17.

Ghosts, vampires, werewolves, witches, and zombies: These have long been associated with the evil spirit world. (Halloween Trivia) The Bible clearly states that we should oppose wicked spirit forces, not celebrate with them.—Ephesians 6:12.

Halloween pumpkins, or jack-o’-lanterns: In medieval Britain, “supplicants moved from door to door asking for food in return for a prayer for the dead,” and they would carry “hollowed-out turnip lanterns, whose candle connoted a soul trapped in purgatory.” (Halloween—From Pagan Ritual to Party Night) Others say that the lanterns were used to ward off evil spirits. During the 1800’s in North America, pumpkins replaced turnips because they were plentiful as well as easy to hollow out and carve. The beliefs behind this custom—the immortality of the soul, purgatory, and prayers for the dead—are not based on the Bible.—Ezekiel 18:4.

Of course the Catholic church says celebraring Halloween is OK.

Just like all of the other pagan festivals they incorporated.
