Student Says TX Teacher Forced 7th Graders to Deny God is Real, or Take a Failing Grade -Video

by Victor Skinner

KATY, Texas – A Texas seventh-grader is standing up for her religious beliefs after she alleges her teacher forced students to deny that God is real, and threatened them with failing grades if they don’t agree.

Jordan Wooley, a seventh grade student at West Memorial Junior High School in the Katy Independent School District, testified at a school board meeting last night about an assignment in her reading class that caused a serious controversy, and expressed frustration about her teacher’s atheist indoctrination.

“Today I was given an assignment in school that questioned my faith and told me that God was not real. Our teacher had started off saying that the assignment had been giving problems all day. We were asked to take a poll to say whether God is fact, opinion or a myth and she told anyone who said fact or opinion was wrong and God was only a myth,” Wooley told board members.

Students immediately objected, Wooley said, but the teacher refused to consider their position.

The teacher, “started telling kids they were completely wrong and that when kids argued we were told we would get in trouble. When I tried to argue, she told me to prove it, and I tried to reference things such as the Bible and stories I have read before from people who have died and went to heaven but came back and told their stories, and she told me both were just things people were doing to get attention.

“I know it wasn’t just me who was affected by it. My friend, she went home and started crying. She was supposed to come with me but she didn’t know if she could” because she was so upset, Wooley said.

The teen explained she spoke with other students in the class who were marked down because they believe God is real, as well as compromises proposed by students to avoid rejecting their faith.

“Another student asked the teacher if we could put what we believe in the paper, and she said we could … but you would fail the paper if you do,” Wooley told the board. “I had known before that our schools aren’t really supposed to teach us much about religion or question religion. When I asked my teacher about it she said it doesn’t have anything to do with religion because the problem is just saying there is no God.”

Wooley was accompanied to the meeting by her mother, Chantel Wooley, who texted with her daughter about the assignment earlier in the day and posted a video to Facebook about the incident after school.

“Hey mom so in reading we were required to say that God is just a myth,” Jordan texted her mother shortly before 3 p.m. Monday. “I thought if a question was against our religion that we could put what we think is true but we got in trouble for saying He is true.”

“Wait what? Myth?” Chantel Wooley replied.

“We had to deny God is real. Yeah, we had to say he was just a myth,” Jordan wrote.

“You got in trouble?” Chantel questioned.

“Yeah she told me I was wrong bc I put it was fact,” Jordan wrote.

When are you going to realize that you have to pull your children out of the government obedience training centers. These “schools” are only schooling or training the children to be obedient slaves, and they cannot have any competition from a higher master, such as God. These training centers teach nothing but propaganda! The sooner all of you pull your children out, the sooner that entire “education” or re-education system falls.

      • plsnogod

gina, which ‘god’ do you support?

there are many gods that people worship. you do not specify.

do you mean allah is the god? do you mean sriva is the god? do you believe in jesus christ?

which particular training centre would you choose for your children?

because they are all training centres. it depends on your geographical location.

        • Mina

It’s true enough that the geographical location, or culture, in which you were raised strongly determines your perception of god. But which god the little girl believes in is absolutely irrelevant here.

Whether one believes god exists or believes god does not exist, that issue is purely a matter of faith since neither point of view can be proven as factual.

This teacher is using her position of authority combined with the threat of a failing grade in an attempt to impose her own personal faith on these children and force them to deny their own.

          • plsnogod

no, the teacher is not imposing any faith whatsoever.

the thought that there is not a magic man up in the sky is not a faith.

how would you feel if the teacher allowed the student to believe that elves live in the forest?

            • Mina

An unproven belief is one supported only by faith, whether it holds that god exists or doesn’t exist. The enforcement of any such faith is not openly within the scope of responsibilities given to any teacher employed by our public schools.

The teacher’s actions are, however, understandable to some extent. After forcing the children to to give up their prenatally taught belief in god, she has an even more horrendous task to accomplish. Phase two of the unofficial public school conditioning program requires that the children be converted to a secular faith which holds that their ancestors were actually monkeys who evolved from green slime that once grew in primordial swamps after the mud there had miraculously sprung to life.

Even the belief in elves living in the forest can’t hold a candle to that one!

    • plsnogod

there is no evidence of any ”god”. there never has been.there probably will never be any evidence for a god.

how can you criticise a teacher for saying that this is a myth?

there is no more truth of ‘jesus’ or ‘god’ than there is of santa, elves or hobbits.

just because you have been brought up in a religious cult, does not mean you should impose it on others.

had you been brought up in india, you would be attacking this teacher for saying ganesh the elephant god is a myth.

but you believe ganesh the elephant god is a myth don’t you?

      of course you do.

      • Str8Talker

@PLSNOGOD: So, based on your logic… you do not exist either, correct? Sure, we see printed words but no real intelligence behind them. Kinda like a monkey banging nonsensical babblings, half-truths, hearsay and rhetoric… I dare say you may be on to something. PROVE TO US YOU EXIST… and that this realm of life is REAL… not a dream or nightmare.

As for Jesus Christ existing 2,000 and being the Son of God who lived, died & rose again… we have more biblical, secular and historical texts, witness accounts and testimonials about Christ’s life than any other important person… like George Washington who lived only 200 some years ago. Other than his battles & politics… we know very little about the man.

As for the existence of God… you are correct… it cannot be proven. But, in the same breath, God’s existence cannot be DISPROVEN either. Why? Statistics, Logic & Observance… there are too many to quote so I will choose just one: We observe in life this fact that matter goes from a lesser to greater purpose only when an intelligence steps in to alter, shape and designate a new purpose for it. Example: A ballpoint pen does not evolve from oil, organics and steel shavings in the ground over millions of years… they are extracted, refined, molded and formed into the multiple components of a simple pen.
Purpose?: For use with communication & drawing

Statistically speaking… the odds of a pen naturally evolving without intelligence, planning & design… is 0%. Logically… intelligence, purpose, resources are clearly needed to make something. The only difference between a pen & person is… humans are a lot more complex to design, build and animate. Yet, easy enough to still understand and appreciate the complexities of the human body!

I know… I know… it’s all BS. We aren’t special. No God created us… blah, blah, blah. What a coward you are. IT’S EASY TO BELIEVE IN NOTHING. There’s nothing to defend, protect or stand for. It’s just more fun shooting down others with more Kahunas than you have. Well, have fun… gonna enjoy watching you spit & sputter trying explain to God (on your Judgment Day)… why doesn’t it. LoL!!!

But folks like you have ALL THE ANSWERS… yet you still don’t know what’s gonna happen to you in the next 30 mins. Good luck with all that…

The god you worship -the hebrew god- is a self-proclaimed vain, jealous and favorite playing (deuteronomy 7:6) baby killer (egyptians) of a self-declared god. Explain why your hebrew god is so damn jealous of all the other gods that he does not want you worshiping. (exodus 34:14).

as ever str8Talker, as a religious adherent, all you do is bully and threaten the
weak, the meek, the young and the elderly.

believe in MY god, otherwise….on ”judgement day” LOL you will suffer.

all cults and religions threaten people with this, you are no exception.

you people have been bullying others for millenia, whichever deity you choose.

i call you out as being evil and nasty, whether you are muslim, christian or otherwise.

NOBODY knows the answers you twit.

          many people think they do.
but they only think they do.
          they do not.
          nobody does.

      REPENT!!!!!!!

This teacher should be reprimanded! Our children are supposed to be protected from this kind of atheistic behavior!

GOOD JOB for telling the child that she did a GOOD JOB!!!!!!!

We should All pray for this teacher (as well as All of her loved ones) that they ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS SAVIOR!
      i Will!

      • AllRoadsLead2NWO

No- they should have freewill. Freedom of choice and it should not even be talked about in any school. If you want a religion school, then go pay to go to one that caters specifically to your religious feelings whatever they may be. They must be allowed to make up their own minds- and not in school, it is a personal subject that should kept personal to begin with.

      • plsnogod

yes, yes, fine, okay. the lord jesus christ is your saviour…

if you seriously think that jesus being tortured to death will repent YOU of your sins,
then i suggest you get to the nearest mental health institution.

        • Scanner Darko

So they let kids use computers during recess now?

          • plsnogod

            yes my strange friend,they do.

is that really the best you can offer?

do you think kids have no insight?

            kids often offer unaduterated insights.

            only you know i guess.

(you may need to look up ‘unadulterated’ in the dictionary)
            if you have one.

      And now ?
this teacher has nothing about luciferians member of freemason lodge, hum ?

      • AllRoadsLead2NWO

The lodge accepts all faiths- the jew, the mohammdan, the judeo-christian, the only requirement is a that you believe in a creator deity or grand architect of the universe go seek out a lodege member and petition to join to find out. All democrats for certain subscribe to the Luciferian doctrine and you probably do- but you have never read it and already pre-programmed to think evil=-when the only evil person in the Hebrew Bible- is the vain, jealous, favorite playing killer hebrew god character depicted in the hebrew bible that the hebrews do not even belive- but wrote for you as an easy way to control you and it has worked perfectly for them for 2,000 years, while the jews laugh all the way to the bank- literally.

      Think about it
When you send your offspring to an enemy camp built by the same contractors that design and build prisons
To lerrn how to be prisoner’s of the tyrant’s estate or state

A clumsy effort on the part of a teacher, but easy to understand. The purpose of schools is (or should be) to educate, not to encourage – or even to tolerate – non-rational superstitions that can get in the way of learning, especially in science.

    • wiseoldlady

A teacher is to be one that teaches WITHOUT BIAS but encouraging the development of every child to expand their minds with a healthy attitude. A teacher is NOT suppose to admonish a child for their religion or faith which is separate from school now days. The acceptance of Islam in schools… books and studies, is repulsive and a lie and does NOT belong in school. This teacher was hired to teach not to preach her personal stinking opinion.

    • Pix

“Today I was given an assignment in school that questioned my faith and told me that God was not real. Our teacher had started off saying that the assignment had been giving problems all day. What you mean as opposed to the outrage of forcing all children to agree that faith in the totally unsubstantiated, is fact? You don’t like the fact your ‘faith’ is unsubstantiated, I get that, but in reality you don’t have ‘faith’, you have denial of the evidence. There isn’t a single element within Christianity that is unique or original to it, Christ Jesus = latin for the Greek Dionysus.
