Where does the Bible talk about a “third” abomination? Although I agree that it is downright abominable that an image of this pagan god of destruction was projected on an American landmark, and that America is reaping what it has sown, this has nothing to do with the fulfillment of any Bible prophecy other than the general principle that when a nation rejects the Truth, they reap the consequences.
The mysterious “abomination of desolation” that Jesus spoke of is identified in Luke 21, which is a parallel chapter to Mathew 24. The abomination of desolation was the surrounding of Jerusalem by the Romans leading up to the total desolation and destruction of the temple, and Jerusalem, in 70 A.D.
Those events were the sign that Jesus had returned “in the Glory of the Father” – what we call the second coming.
