Why Will So Many Willingly Go To the Lake of Fire Instead of BELIEVING the Gospel of Jesus Christ Found in the bible?
Although different for many people (yet with the same outcome) it will usually be that they have believed some other gospel and refused to look for themselves and believed what those around them believed. They either took what the public schools taught them; that they were the product of chance, believing that they “evolved” from lower forms of life, even though this theory runs contrary to the common sense of most people when they learn about it at a young age OR they believe that some kind of work that they do will gain them favor in the Eyes of God when it comes time for them to meet Him.
Both of these are very dangerous views and each contains enough lies and deception that it would be easy for someone who was so inclined to know real TRUTH to uncover and understand. The problem in both cases is that the person actually BELIEVES that they already have the Truth yet in neither case do they truly have it.
Some are so persuaded by what others will think about them that they worry more about what their peers think than they do about what their own Creator thinks about them! Some actually learn the Truth along the way yet are ASHAMED of the Truth of Jesus Christ and they reject Him out of FEAR of being ridiculed.
Others decide that they are a “good person” and go about trying to gain favor of God (who is perfect) by participating in some type of religion such as Latter Day Saints or Jehovah’s Witnesses or Roman Catholicism; all of which require WORKS to gain favor on earth in their church AND in Heaven with God. None of them gains favor with God.
God is PERFECT and we are not. We were (like it or not) born into sin and we are sinners each and every one of us and no amount of work can be done to remove that sin. Much of this we don’t understand but God gave us enough of a mind to figure out that perfection is far from us and that we simply cannot attain that perfection necessary to live with God in His Glorious, Eternal Perfection forever but that sin has DISQUALIFIED us from being with Him.
It’s really very simple. We can’t pay the penalty for our sin so we should all go away from our Creator when we die forever and ever PERIOD. In fact, God COULD have made that choice; to throw us all into Hell and start all over with a completely different plan. This decision would not have affected Him, only us in that we would have no chance of being with Him as was originally intended. I’m so glad He didn’t do that.
What did He do? Since most have never read the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Gospel means good news) I will try to explain it to you. When God (who exists in three parts – I know, very hard to understand) created the world, He said “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness”… (Genesis 1:26) The Godhead was present at the time of Creation and God spoke with Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, hence the plural reference (let us make).
Part of that likeness is that He created us as eternal beings with a spirit that will never die. Man was perfect in the beginning and that perfection allowed God to draw near to man (Adam) and God had fellowship with Adam in Person – face to face. When Adam ate the fruit from the Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil against God’s will (which he willingly did out of LOVE for Eve after he saw that his wife had eaten it – a study all its own), everything changed.
God could not be present with Adam and Eve anymore because of their SIN (disobedience to God) and they were cast out of Perfection into a cursed world where everything was imperfect; a world in which DEATH was now a great part. In the interest of time, I will leave the rest of the Creation Account for the reader to finish by getting a King James Bible (all other versions have been corrupted) and reading it for themselves.
God told Satan that He would defeat him even though he coerced man to sin, and He gave us that first prophecy of how He was going to do it in Genesis 3:15. (entire books have been written on this first prophecy of God).
Back to how we fit in to all of this. You must remember that you didn’t form yourself, no matter what new age philosophy and the new enlightenment says about you and your origins, you came from your parents and they from theirs all the way back to that first man and woman and they were IMPERFECT; spotted by sin and the wages of sin is death. You were CREATED by God and every one of us will go back to God but here is the Good News…
God in His Great Mercy and Kindness and His Great Love for us and His Creation had already prepared a sacrifice (where there is sin there needs to be the shedding of blood for the remission of that sin). He would send His Own Begotten Son to pay the sin debt that we could not pay! He made it possible for man to rely on the blood of Jesus Christ at His Cross to wash away every sin we ever committed or ever will commit!
All we have to do is believe that He is God who came in the flesh of a man; who willingly gave up His life in that flesh in obedience to God the Father even though He was the only man who had never sinned. He shed His Innocent Blood (by the hand of the Romans) so that we could be saved from separation from Him for eternity in the place that He provided for Satan and his angels.
His offer is still good for ANYONE who will believe that He died, was buried and then rose from the grave on the third day and ascended into Heaven where He is seated at the Right Hand of the Father and will forever bear the scars of His love for us.
What does it mean to BELIEVE? ”The devils also believe and tremble” (James 2:19) Belief that saves is a belief that TRUSTS in God to save your eternal soul by believing what was done for you by Him. You must believe the supernatural account of our Creator in that He had given us eternal life through His death, burial and resurrection. Do you believe this? If you are sincere, you are SAVED and will soon leave this place of sin, evil and death and be CHANGED! In the twinkling of an eye, you will be taken from this place and forever be with the Lord! Sound good?
If you believe, then you are good to go! I’ll be there. Many people that I know and have known will be there. But remember this…salvation is not about repeating some words in a building somewhere by a youth pastor or someone else at an “alter call”. I fear that many believe they are saved because they repeated some words at a church somewhere perhaps while checking their text messages! “Oh, yeah”, they say to the tattoo artist while getting their latest tattoo, “I’m saved. I repeated my ‘vows’ at so and so church 10 years ago and my girlfriend told me last night before we went to bed that she was saved like that too!”
You must believe in your HEART to be saved. James said, “…Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works” James 2:18 We are saved by Grace through Faith and James is saying that if you have real faith, you will have works too.
You will know when that happens to you because you will know it. It is something that happens down deep. You just know it and it changes you. The more willing you are to be changed the more He will work on you but you must believe. Stop believing the lies of the world and seek Truth. Don’t you think that you deserve to know the real truth? Of all the things that people think that they deserve, this is one of them. You DO deserve to know the truth IF you truly want to know it and that is why we have the King James Bible!

The scriptures do NOT say it is as simple as believing in Jesus to be saved. One MUS THE ENTIRE WILL OF GOD in order for God to save him/her through the tribulation and Armageddon. What that scripture means, is that killing the soul is causing the “second death”, meaning no resurrection. Gehenna, a metaphor for total destruction, means no resurrection. You can kill the body, but you remain in God’s limitless memory, so He can resurrect you. Killing the soul means God removes you from His memory and will NOT resurrect you after the final battle. It is important to understand EACH AND EVERY SCRIPTURE in the Bible, NOT JUST ONE HERE, AND ONE THERE as the false Christianity known as sects of Christendom teaches one to do. An adverse judgement after one’s death means the second death. If one dies as a judgement, like the tribulation, the final battle, the Great Flood of Noah’s time, one won’t be resurrected. The soul is dead so to speak. Killing the soul is a metaphor also. If one doesn’t die as a judgement, one will be resurrected, post Armageddon, and has the entire period known as judgement day, to learn and adhere to the new scrolls God promised to give to us to learn. If one does learn and adhere to them, that one will have “eternal life” in a paradise Earth. One won’t ever get sick, old, or die.
Everlasting punishment is death, the second death, it’s NOT some fictitious hell of fire and torment, since it only means the common grave of mankind, NOT what sects teach. Hellfire is fiction.
God DID originally create us to live forever, but that changed with Satan’s challenge to Him and us. That will not be restored until after judgement day. Until then, we get sick, we die. But we only die permanently as a judgement of the second death. As I just said above, it is the ENTIRE SCRIPTURES we must know, in order to know even one of them. One scripture NEVER PROVES A THING. If your take on a scripture seems to contradict ANY OTHER SCRIPTURE, then your understanding of it is not correct.
I’ve given more than one verse; the bible is full of verses. But your kind that says there is no eternal Hell must muddle and confuse Scripture to make it say what you want it to say instead of what the text actually says. You would be better off if you didn’t read the bible!

You posted Matthew 10:9-10 in the KJV, which is falsely translated. But, you actually referred to Matthew 18:9-10. Translating the ORIGINAL Koine Greek, word for word literally into English, the same scriptures say:

Now it DOES NOT SAY HELL, it says Gehenna. Gehenna is the Valley of Hin-Nom. A place where pagans used to burn their children in fire to the God Tammuz, the God Baal, and other make believe gods. After that was stopped, it was used for a trash dump, that was kept burning all the time by pouring sulphur (brimstone) on it. It causes total destruction to be burned to ash. The term Gehenna, in the scriptures, is a metaphorical reference to TOTAL DESTRUCTION, which means no resurrection. If we don’t receive Gehenna, also known as the second death, we are in line to be resurrected after Armageddon. If we DO receive the second death, or Gehenna, we WILL NOT BE RESURRECTED. We receive total destruction. We die, and that’s it. Gone, no more, nothing left, nothing survives our death. The word Gehenna, in the KJV was almost ALWAYS deliberately mistranslated into hell, which wasn’t used originally in God’s word.

The KJV translators used the name “Jehovah” whenever the name Yahweh was found under one of the following three conditions:
1. When YHWH is used as God’s personal name.
Exodus 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
Ps 83:18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
2. When God’s name is repeated as “Jah Jehovah.”
Isaiah 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

3. When God’s personal name is part of a place name.

Jehovah was the pronunciation of JHVH (YHWH) that the English speaking people understood as the Personal Name of God. So in places where the Personal Name of God was emphasized, the King James translators transliterated the Name Jehovah.
Jehovah or Yahweh?
While I am sure that God does not care whether we pronounce His personal Name as Jehovah or Yahweh, even the New American Standard translators admit the fact that “It is known that for many years YHWH has been transliterated as Yahweh, however no complete certainty attaches to this pronunciation” (Principles of Translation from the “Preface to the New American Standard Bible,” 1997 edition). The pronunciation is a moot point.
If the vowels added later in Hebrew (200-700 AD by the Massoretes) are not the way to pronounce the Name of God, then there is nowhere that we can find the correct pronunciation. Many modernist “scholars” say that Yahweh was a local god that was elevated by the tribe of Israelites to the One God. They say Yahweh was the consort (lover) god of Baal, maybe even female! But if you say, “Jehovah” (just like when you say, “hell” instead of “sheol”) people know what you are talking about: The One Personal, Invisible God of Israel and the Christian Church.
Gail Riplinger has a point. Something as clear and meaningful as this has been stripped of its significance by the generic word “LORD” or “GOD” in these specific seven instances. Just because the modern bibles (including the NKJV) changed it does not mean they IMPROVED it.
The King James translators understood, as our modernist translators do not, that there was significance in these specific seven places, where the personal name of God was referred to. They transliterated JHVH as Jehovah only in these places, for these good reasons.
GOD, LORD, and JEHOVAH
We have to deal with the issue of why the KJV, and most ancient and modern versions of the Bible, do not translate this name as Yehova or Jehova in all but a few verses. For centuries Jewish tradition, without which we would have no Bible, considered the name of God to be too lofty to pronounce. There were differences in the extent to which this reverence was expressed, since some spoke his name only when his name was being emphasized, as it is in the four verses above, and others would never utter it at all. For this reason the word for Lord, Adonai, is uttered wherever his name YHVH appears. The tradition of translating this occurrence as LORD in all caps is understood to represent YHVH, but is used to show respect for him as a superior. Wherever the actual word for “Lord” appears with YHVH, Elohim was uttered, hence the diacritics E-o-i. This is done so that he is not referred to as Lord Lord.
This practice should not be difficult to understand, but apparently in the modern day where etiquette and formality have been cast aside, it is not understood at all. We know God the Father’s name, but that does not mean that is the name that we should use casually as we would an equal. Doing so on a regular basis is overly familiar and indicates an attitude of chumminess rather than showing the respect and pious fear that God demands from us. Almost everyone knows the name of their fathers and mothers, but few address them or even refer to them by their names. I address my mother as mom. Forty some years ago I addressed her as mommy, and even earlier as mama. I will never get old enough to consider it proper to address her by her first name. She is my friend, but she will always be my elder and parent, and I would not undermine that relationship and show her disrespect by addressing her by her first name. The only time that I use her name is when I am introducing her to others who do not know her name, and then I introduce her as my mother before I provide her name. When I refer to her to that person from then on, I refer to as my mother and not by her name. I wonder if the crowd that throws God’s name out so casually do the same with their parents. Do they refer to their own fathers as Bill or Joe. Why do they do so with The Father. Jesus did not even do that when he addressed God The Father.
Mr 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
Mt 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Mt 26:42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
Nowhere do we find an occurrence of Jesus referring to God The Father by his personal name. We are supposed to be using Jesus as the model for our behavior, not 19th century atheist scholars and white supremist Identity cult members.
Questions for Jehovah’s Witnesses to answer:
How can “Jehovah” be the name of God since neither Hebrew, Greek, Latin don’t even have a letter “J” and English did not have the letter J before about 1500 AD?
If the name Jehovah is so important, then why is it never used in the entire Greek New Testament? If men edited out the name of God, “YHWH” when they copied the New Testament, as only the Watchtower organization claims, then how can we have any confidence in any of the New Testament? Should we discard the New Testament or the Watchtower organization as unreliable?
Lets accept, for the sake of argument, that Matthew was written originally in Hebrew. (It was not written in Hebrew but Greek, but this is for argument take only.) How does a Hebrew original Matthew justify your “adding to and changing the word of God” in the other 26 New Testament books that were originally written in Greek where there is no evidence YHWH was ever used?
If the name “Jehovah” is so important, then why does Acts 4:12 say, “There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name [v10 Jesus Christ] under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved”? Would this not have been the logical place for God to have used the name “YHWH”?
What is the correct spelling of God’s proper name “Yahweh” or “Jehovah”? If Jehovah’s Witnesses maintain that “Yahweh” is more proper, why do they misspell it “Jehovah”? If the name of God is so important, then should you not only pronounce it correctly, but spell it correctly too? Is not spelling more important than pronunciation?
The NWT translates the Greek word “kyrios” as “Jehovah” more than 25 times in the New Testament (Mt 3:3, Lk 2:9, Jn 1:23, Acts 21:14, Rom 12:19, Col 1:10, 1Thess 5:2, 1Pet 1:25, Rev 4:8, etc.). Why is the word “Jehovah” translated when it does not appear in the Greek text? Why is the NWT not consistent in translating kyrios (kurion) as “Jehovah” in Rom 10:9, 1Cor 12:3, Phil 2:11, 2Thess 2:1, and Rev 22:21 (see Gr-Engl Interlinear)?
In Lk 4:12, the NWT translates “kyrios” (Gr-lord) as “Jehovah”, which makes the verse read “… ‘You shall not put Jehovah your God to the test.’” See Gr-Engl Interlinear. Why is kyrios translated as “Jehovah” in this verse? Was the devil, in Lk 4:9-11, putting Jehovah to the test or JESUS to the test?
In Phil 2:9, the NWT inserts the word “other”, even though it doesn’t appear in the original Greek (see Gr-Engl Interlinear). What is the reason for inserting this word? Is the word “Jehovah” a name? See Ex 6:3, Ps 83:18, and Isa 42:8. How would the verse read if the word “other” had not been inserted? What does scripture say about adding words to the Bible? See Prov 30:5-6.
Why are you called, “Jehovah’s Witnesses” and not “Christians”? Since Jehovah’s Witnesses appeal to Isa 43:12; 44:8 for scriptural support that they should be called, “Jehovah’s Witnesses” then what was the “new name” prophesied in Isa 62:2? Can’t be “Jehovah’s Witnesses”, for God already used it 20 chapters earlier. Could the new name be “Christian” after our savior “Christ”?
Why would the name God gave to His people not be “Christians” since Acts 11:26 says, “The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch”? Why is the name “Jehovah’s Witness” found nowhere in the New Testament, if that is God’s divine name for His people under the new covenant? Why would God wait almost 2000 years to suddenly start using the name “Jehovah’s Witness”. Does this mean that first century Christians were not known as Jehovah’s Witnesses”?

Jehovah’s Witnesses argue for the divine name in the New Testament based upon wishful thinking, driven by false doctrine and call into question the reliability of the text of the New Testament. After all, if the divine name was removed but we have no evidence of this…. what else was also removed that we have no evidence of?
A rather stunning observation Jehovah’s Witnesses have simply missed, is that while they argue YHWH was removed from the New Testament, and we have no evidence of its use, the oldest Hebrew version of the Old Testament retains YHWH in all 7000 places. So the actual manuscript evidence for the divine name YHWH used in the Old Testament is 100% intact, but 100% corrupted for the New Testament. If such a conspiracy really existed to remove YHWH from the Bible, why would they only remove it from the New Testament manuscripts and not the Old? The answer is because Jehovah’s Witnesses are false apostate teachers who trust the manuscripts of their Watchtower magazine more than the manuscripts of the Bible.
So in the end the Watchtower proves itself to love its own agenda of false doctrine so much, that it will question the accuracy of the original Greek manuscripts of the Bible before it will question itself!
