Brief Sabbatical to Work on a Political Project

As some of you may know, I live in three realms: faith, business, and politics. My faith is the ultimate calling that everyone must embrace, else we get trapped in the feebleness of this world. My business is a responsibility that I gladly undertake for family as well as those within the business who depend on me. Politics has always been a hobby, but given the tumultuous nature of our current political atmosphere, I feel that it needs to be given more attention.

That attention is being put forth in the form of The New Americana. This project is one that will take much of my time over the next few months. The goal is to build a conservative news aggregator that can combat the leftward lurches of Establishment media such as Fox News while also fighting the perversion of conservatism that has manifested as the “alt-right” on sites like Drudge Report and Breitbart.

I am disappointed that this project will pull me away from this website for a while. It’s imperative, though, to do what we can to fight the political direction towards which America is heading. This site has plenty of content that is evergreen, so adding new content isn’t required for now. I’ll return, hopefully before the election, to focus on my primary calling, but in the meantime I will be building The New Americana until it is self-sustaining.
