(Before It's News)
The morning air is appreciatively colder
October sees me slower, growing older
I wrap my coat around me a little tighter
As the darker nights are drawing in earlier.
I feel the chill of past regret dull my humour
The haunting thrill of an unrevealed future
Ushering in a sombre decay, a gathering gloom
Bringing the stalking shadows of the afternoon
Summer disappears, as freezing wind encroaches
For all of a sudden, the ferocious winter approaches.
